Just a friendly reminder here folks.

Stated in the book of lulz.....I mean Bungie's Friday Update (4/3/09).
The MLG Playlist will be updated with v6 map varients.
Yep, new (well, kinda new for some) maps being implemented. As well as some new changes for some v5 maps.

Although I don't really know if they implemented the update already (Haven't gone to see in MLG playlist yet).

    Cheers.

    What maps would these be?
Or are they on Bungie as we speak?

That's why the guy on Construct had a Custom!
Do you know any other changes?

Played a game of MLG Team King on Construct just now, no CPU, so I guess the changes haven't gone in to effect yet. Pity, could have really done with it that game :p. Glad they're implementing the v6 updates though, hopefully they'll throw Lockdown Ball in to the mix. I know it has its problems, but Guardian Ball gets really repetitive and it'll be nice to have an alternative.

I hate Lockdown ball, and I'm pretty sure I'll grow to dislike Construct now too. I really don't see a ponit to adding OV, it takes away the advantage of holding down the top of the map, which is the whole idea on Construct.

ok cool, thnx for the update on the update.

I like the OV down below, it really gets the players to move throughout the map more.

The only thing I dislike is the fact that KotH Pit has been removed.
    :(

Yea, I definitely like Pit King a lot more than Lockdown Ball. Lockdown is always too close of a game, and if you don't have smart teammates it's almost impossible to win. At least on the Pit it's a little easier to spawn your teammates so you can setup for the next hill.

Sweet, I'm probably not going to jump into the MLG playlist quite yet however, I just got Halo back after two weeks of not playing. :)

I played today and still no custom on construct and i didnt get a lockdown ball game in.

The gametypes are meant for the pros not us. So of course they are gonna be smart and we just have to deal with it in the playlist. But i gotta admit lockdown ball is pretty exciting to watch, especially in the Instinct BtH game. Plus i never really liked pit king. The one thing i wont like about it though is there will be people throwing it on top of the bases. As for the custom on construct, what u stated is the point of it. Its a sacrificial thing. You have to send at least one guy on there or the other team is gonna just get a full one and has a good chance of breaking your setup and taking new hill. It adds a whole new element that will probably add for better and more exciting games. It also makes breaking setups alot easier for the other team if they can get their hands on it which it seemed almost impossible to break a top hill setup without it sometimes. Overall i like it.

Pit King was the only gametype in MLG that I truly did not like, though Construct and Narrows Slayer I would not have felt bad about losing. Spawning on it was usually so far away from a hill that one team wiping out another resulted in 15-30 second chunks of time. I prefer the other MLG gametypes where you can get in the action relatively soon upon respawn.

As for the OS on Construct, it is a wonderful addition in terms of entertainment value watching the events. Playing with it I'm not sure of yet, but I anticipate it being a great setup breaker.
