Just trying too find out the community's opinion.

What forge-based map would you like Bungie too make next? (After Heretic, Longshore and Citadel)
    Please give a good explanation.

I would like Bungie too make a Forerunner-Complex, which is alot like a cylinder with multiple platforms hovering above, falling, of course, would kill you. It would be very open, with not much cover. I would like it too have a massive energy bridge in between the two default team spawns, and a console on a high platform overlooking it, possibly with a sniper rifle resting on it. The energy bridge would be alot like on The Ark when Master Chief activated the bridge, allowing multiple vehicles too move across it, except it can be activated and deactivated at once. Another good feature, would be if there were Senitels floating around, and if you kill one, they try and kill you.

The forge-able objects would include (but not be limited too):
    • Gravity Lifts and Man Cannons
    • Sentinel Factory
    • Hover-Platform
    • All items on Foundry, Mixed with items from Sandbox
    • Material-Theme, e.g. Theme-Human for a green, computer like effect, Theme-Flood for a Flood-Infested material effect, Theme-Forerunner, etc.

So you basically want to mix Foundry and Sandbox and give it a forerunner theme?

Not sure if Bungie's planning to make another forge map.
I mean, they practically think (or think we think) Sandbox is the "ultimate forge map".

But if they did, it'd probably be either a forerunner map, or a flood map.
More likely forerunner - although personally I think Flood would be cooler.
Think of all the organic structures you could make with those Flood-bolb-thingies that when you shoot them in campaign release little flood spores.

But I dunno, next Map Pack won't contain a next "Super Ultimate Extreme-o forge map", for sure. Maybe the ODST one.. But don't count on it.

(of course, if I missed something along the lines of Bungie hinting for the next Forge map -- which would be stupid and ridiculous with Mythic releasing in a week -- I'd feel really stupid and silly now)

Well, I can honestly say I doubt they will ever make another forge map, but if they did I would love a forerunner tech theme. Like white and blue colors especially.

Purely hypothetically, if Bungie ever decides to make new maps (after the upcoming three), I would like to see more creativity. It seems they slacked off in that department in Halo 3, whereas in the first two, there were some more variable layouts, coloration, lighting, hazards, etc.

For forging, I'd love to see a bunch of over the top items and stuff that can really make games wacky. Even killballs are pretty basic. I'm talking about really innovative stuff that can totally warp gameplay. That would be fun.

Yes. We need a Forerunner-themed map, but one that is COMPLETELY flat!! No glitchy objects, no walls that bulge inwards, (like the Crypt) and NO objects with weird bumpmaps! I want to easily be able to create a floor out of objects with absolutely NO bumps. I don't know why Bungie feels the need to make little aesthetic touches to their default maps that screw with forging.

I would like us to be able to make hills, cliffs, water, ect. It would make Halo a WHOLE lot better for machinima. I cannot imagine how good it would be. It wouldn't be too complex, but it would be a bit frustrating.
Maybe making your own weapon. I would like that.

Not just directed to you because the opening post says the same thing, but isn't Sandbox supposedly a Forerunner map? I thought there was one of each in the Mythic map pack.

Anyway, I guess I'll be alone in wanting a Covenant map. I love all the deep, rich colors. Forerunner architecture is really cool though, so I would have no objection to that (and I'm sure that's what you were talking about). It feels like there is a lot more representation of that than Covenant themed maps though.
The ability to change weather patterns and time of day too! That would be sweet.
Perhaps better weapon customization? All we have at this moment is clip size and spawn rate. Where have our flashlights and night vision gone? As I type this, I can picture a bunch of scared people running around in a pitch black map with flashlights.

The next three maps that will come with ODST will not be great forging ones; they already specified them as competitive maps like Assembly and Orbital.

All I want is to have a 90 degree turn option and automatics geomerging, or, less importantly, interlocking, because interlocking doesn't take all that much time compared to geomerging.

it is because not everyone forges and it makes the maps look better

also i like the idea of a forerunner or covenant themed forge map...
    it would be very interesting.
