Horror Hotel is a Crypt Variant for the Zombie movie enthusiasts. I tried to make at as fun and "realistic" as possible. Its played best with the Viral Outbreak game variant I cooked up. Map: Halo 3 File Details Game: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=71650834 Here's a shot of the hotel buildings and the shack where the humans spawn. The big hotel has three floors and a rooftop. the little one has two floors and a rooftop. The buildings are connected at two different levels and the big one has a small perch on the front to spot oncoming zombies. Both buildings are adorned with windows and some smaller internal structures. A close up of the human shack The zombie 'side' of the map. The zombies spawn in the tubes up on the wall. And finally just a top view of the center of the map. The weapons i placed on the map have relatively low ammo and slightly long respawn rates. This should help keep the Zombie Apocalypse feeling throughout the match. Humans spawn with only pistols and the zombies of course have swords. The initial zombie is 25% faster than normal and the others are 10% faster. In order to even out the odds, the zombies have faster shield regen. This is my first build of this so any constructive input would be appreciated. Please notE that I hit the item limit so saying to add stuff isnt gonna help lol. thanks for looking.
Its all good, sorry if i sounded harsh there for a second But for the maps, the only thing that really stands out is the windows being blocked by the wood. That just makes it soOoOoOoO Aesthetically pleasing i could cry. Its awesome, and i dont know why it appeals to me that much lol.
lol. i think it looks very nice. it looks even better while playing. what do you think about adding the gloomy effect?
For you're first one, it looks alright. If you want to make stuff even neater, interlock it. :] For a good tut on it, use the search bar for it (not unless you already knw how, just helpin out)
I think that the gloomy effect would work nicely, actually. Especially since there are a few red and blue orbs (shiny things) that would add small amounts of light for a spookier look.. Try adding that effect and post some pics
will do. that will be the beta build. would floating a kill ball in the very top of the map (by the hole) create some extra light too?
lol, Every map doesn't need interlocking...and yes there is already some in this map. Well done bro, Picking up new skills with each map you make. I played on this map earlier with my buddy DE4Th (despite only have like 5 ppl) game play was very fun, map looks nice too! A few kinks here and there but you will have that in almost any and every map. 4/5 Gangsta!
Ok for the people that are saying it needs more interlocking, well that is just pure spam. Who cares about intterlocking, i mean i know it might affect gameplay a little but come on , tell him something that would really make his map toop notch
Okay so what's to stop someone from killing zombies as they fall out of the tubes? I really like your hotel theme, is that a 3 or so story structure there? That looks neat, I'd like to play this with you if you have some friends who would too, I don't have many Halo3 ppl on my FL. Most left to play RE5 lol. Anyways, good work on this I'll check it out
Link to game type Hey here's an easy sugestion that would realy help people enjoy the map more. You should make a link to your specified gametype's specific file A dirrect link beleave it or not really improves the number of people who download the gametype. I guess they're to lazy to find it themselves. I'll rate your map when I download but I gotta deleate some maps first. From the pics it looks very good for a beta.
thanks you lol. there is tons of interlocking my gametype give the zombies invulnerablility for 3 seconds. plsu, they dont die fast enough so the humans trying to camp almost always die before they get to kill the zombies. ill play tonight for sure. send me a friend request. there is a link to the gametype right under the link to the map. finally. as it says in the description, the big building has 3 floors plus a roof. the smaller one has two floors plus a roof
thanks for the back up. there is tons of interlocking in the map anyhow. i made a new final cut thread for this map so give it a look see. http://www.forgehub.com/forum/casual-maps/63365-horror-hotel-final-cut.html
