Overload the map, some objects will disappear if you do so, then force it to spawn and you should be able to delete it

Wait, all hope is not lost!

First off, do not spawn the object at the start of the game. Start a new round. Next, wait about 3 minutes in forge, then force spawn it. The object should appear when you first start the game, then it will randomly dissapear. Force spawning it will then allow you to delete or move the object.

Let me know if this works, if not, I have other technical work arounds.

Actually Sage and I ran out of Objects when making Paradox... these words you speak are not true... we had to redo parts of the ceiling because of this...

They were true for me. I left all the weapons and spawn points and objective points on the map and I hit the budget limit before the item limit.

PS - make sure to put the runtime down on colored pillars and other objects which have random runtime maxes higher than the object number placed on the map.

All I know is the first day I got the MMP like three weeks ago, I counted the item count for both examples. It took me like an hour just to do the test. I can promise you that keeping ALL the default items is the way to go. I had the abilty to have many more items then you say. If you want to do the hour or so worth of work that I already did to prove this to yourself, then be my guest.

Edit: Feel free to delete items when you know you really don't need them. You should be running low on money before you do this. That way you can concentrate on making your map and then delete the stuff you know you arn't going to use. That's is what I plan on doing when I start my new map soon.

This has turned into a "How deleting the default objects affects the OLN" thread, but I'll try this when I go on my 360 again tomorrow. Haven't been on it today.

Thanks for all your help guys! Right or wrong, your suggestions are appreciated.

I've already done the work. If you spawn all of the main scenery that the majority of people will use while building a map, then you will absolutely run out of money before you hit the object limit. I don't know how to make it any simpler. Try it, it'll take considerably less time than it did for you to count objects.

Then you did something wrong. It works and has been proven to work by other people than myself. I don't normally speak for things like this unless I know what I'm talking about. I've already done it on a map that I've been working on since I got the MMP. I'm down to $0 and never once ran into the OLN.

I understand what you are saying. I was saying to keep only the defualt items that you need and delete what you don't to get more money. That will give you the max item count.

sometimes, the default objects dont disappear right away.. just sit around for a minute or two.. it should disappear.

then give it time and it should come back at the time you set it to.

doesnt always work, but usually it just takes waiting.

Get you to spawn in there and put a receiver node. Then you can simply tele in.

I tried doing what you said. I started a new round and then waited 180 seconds. I still couldn't pick it up, so I force spawned it. I still couldn't pick it up. So I started a new roiund. I still couldn't pick it up. Now I'm waiting another 180 seconds to get it to work.

Also, spawning in the crypt solved nothing, I need the block to not be there in the game. The players are meant to jump down the hole.

IF the default crypt plug is in the hole, then it is very likely that you are stuck and will not be able to continue. Default objects tend to not disappear at start, even though they are set to. This leads to problems with their selection during later rounds. I hope that you find a way to fix this, and sorry for sounding so pessimistic in the beginning of this post. One other thing that may help: place another object next to the crypt hole and set it to Spawn at Start: No. Then start a new round. When the object that you placed respawns, then you know that 180 seconds have passed and you an try to move and/or delete the crypt plug.

Edit: If you just need players to be able to go down the hole, then you can place a sender node on top of the block and a receiver upside-down underneath it. It may disrupt your map flow a bit, but you will still be able to keep your progress.

It happens all the time to me, but all you gotta do is wait about 60-90 seconds for it to dissapear.

Sorry to bump, but this didn't work at all for me. Can you be more specific?

When you've got the thing set to not spawn at start, and the runtime min set to 0, the object spawns but is unselectable when you start a new round. But, if you keep the runtime min at 0, the thing will disappear after about 30 seconds.

I wish I could show you a screenshot of my sky bubble map where I interlocked a ton of the default objects by just waiting that little time, but I apparently deleted the map by mistake while cleaning out to get below the content limit, and since then I've just been deleting the default objects that aren't weapons or spawns.

I'll tell you everything I did:

    - I loaded up the map and started it
    - I spawned in the skybubble where I had places all the default spawns
    - I went down to the block and tried to pick it up. Nope, I couldn't
    - I started a new round, and for some reason I spawned inside the killball on the map even though there are no spawn points inside it
    - I waited 3 minutes. The block did not disappear and I still couldn't pick it up after 3 minutes
    - I set the run time minimum to the maximum and then started a new round. Again, I spawned inside the killball for no reason
    - I waited another 3 minutes, and the block still did not disappear, or become 'active'

So this didn't work either. My point stands, you should never change the spawn settings of the crypt hole plug. This has now ruined my map.

Perhaps you could put the map, as is, on your file share and see if anyone can crack the case themeselves and let you know.
