Halo 2 was my first game for the xbox. It was the first game i ever played online. It was, probably one of the top 10 funnest nights of my life. That next to playing nightfire at Jacob Anderson's house until 4 in the morning while we all hid in a building.

i don't mean to sound like a total tool, but all the cut scenes throughout halo 3. most powerful video game story i've ever encountered.

Morrowind for sure ... I regularly would get that tingling feeling when exploring new areas; not sure what epic sights I would witness next. Like the first time I encountered a random Vampire collective out in the Ashlands ... I was walking around and saw this piece of Dwemer architecture; nothing big, just a statue and some bits of wall on the side of a mountain. When i went in through the heavy metal door, my first sight was of loads of 'cattle' (i.e people in chains going to be devoured by the vamps), a few seconds later i was being set on by loads of Vampires. It was win.

Doom 3 definitely gave me some proper spine-tingling moments.

Simon the Sorceror was the first point and click adventure game I ever played. Listening to the music from it still gives me goosebumps.

The very start of Just Cause too ... jumping out of the plane and parachuting down onto the beach. It was awesome ...

Of course, there are the obvious ones too: Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid etc.

Also, EVERYONE should have had this moment:
Getting major goosebumps when you first flew a helicopter at night whilst listening to Crocketts Theme on GTA: Vice City.

The last level and ending cutscene of halo 3. Also, the ending of dead space.

The very first game I have noticed take that effect on me had to have been The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, just because it was the pefect game. Going from those 2d Zelda games to that was just amazing! When you first met Ganandorf, and when you snuck into the castle. It was just so amazing.. the zombies were cool to.

The most recent game that touched me was Bioshock. That game was so crazy! Like, I felt like I knew the character, and I couldn't wait to find out who was speaking to me the entire time. When I would hear a Big Daddy coming, I would get freaked out. When I ran out of ammo in my pistol and had to fight off a Big Daddy with a wrench, I had so much fun! The game's story speaks to you.. I just wish it had never ended! Or had a multiplayer mode..

Honestly...........mine was Halo. The music is great and sometimes I get chills down my spine. I also ACTUALLY cried at the end of Halo 3 when I thought Master Chief died. But, I played it on Legendary so I saw that he didn't die, but then I STILL cried because the ending was sad.

I got so involved with the whol Halo storyline and it's a really good one.

Gears of War 2 kinda touched me a bit too, but not as much. There were a few "depressing" moments in Gears like when Tai killed himself and Dom's girl turned out to be dead.

    *Moved to Gaming Discussion*

I can't believe this sat in general discussion for so long but whatever.

The only game that has ever really touched me was FFX. Great game, and the final sequence of events actually caused me to shed a tear.

    In order:

    Final Fantasy X

    Gears of War 1

    Halo: CE

    Halo 3

Halo 2 was a meh for me. FFX was really one of the grestest games i've ever played. Gears 1 had a great storyline and when Kim was killed i almost cried he was my favorite.
