Trying out a new effect and style on this one. It's intended to be my SOTW entry, so I need all the feedback I can get.

It's ok, someone too dark and monotone for my likings, but still looks cool...

Don't really like either text, but I think they dont totally ruin the sig.

My biggest question is... What if what? lol...

Thanks, I wasn't too sure about the text so I'm still playing with it. What if was just the title of the stock, and I couldn't think of anything better.

The stock was a little hard to work with because of the effect used on it, but I tried. Followed some new tutorials on this one too.

It is pretty dark but I understand seeing the stock pcture. I do like the text in the first one 'cuase usually they ruin the entire signature. It doesn't seem like you did too much or too little. it is good and simple. just as I like it. So all in all nice job! :)

I'm not one for adding more effects where they aren't needed, but this is definitely too dark :\ I like the second font better, it's simpler and doesn't distract you as much from the image. Plus it's way easier to read.

What did you do? Sharpen and adjust brightness?

    Try adding more to it.

It is, really. If you've done too little, good feedback is to do more.

I smudged the background and used the color replace tool to desaturate the white in the backdrop. Then I lightened the picture and smudged and blurred the background and non-focal points even more. Then I did multiple blending layers using Hard mix and High Pass effects. Then using a red brush with low opacity, I turned the tendrils to a red color and did the same technique to enhance the color in other places. Then I added text and played around with the lighting a little bit and enhanced the center flood even more.
