The map will bring back alot of memories for all you Quake fans, but I also added my own touch to the map. All of the basics remain pretty much the same. The map is pretty balanced, the rocket has no extra clips and has a respawn time of 180 secs. I also placed the Beam Rifle on the Sniper Pad (Where the railgun was in Longest Yard) so you will have to conserve ammo if you plan on doing any camping there. The Overshield is located where the mega health was. You will find that the Needler will be your best friend on the map due to its' mid-range homing abilities. Phobos keeps you on your toes, making you constantly move from one platform to the other, always spawning in the battle. Be patient with the mancannons to get to the Rocket Pad, and make sure you don't jump when you touch the mancannons, they are set up to just walk across them. Phobos also makes a good game for rockets or splockets, due to all the jumping around. The rocket pad is in the third picture and you can see it in the last picture floating above the map. You get to it from the back mancannon, that launches you up to the far back floating mancannon pad, then it launches you up to the Rocket pad.
This is a very fun map, small and chaotic but still providing enough cover to make a stand. A great remake of the quake 3 map 5/5
i like how you made a remake of unreal tournament map. That was my fave map of all time, but i'm waiting for people to remake the plant the bomb on the vehicle map... so many great memories! Anyways, Very, VERY good remake, couldn't have done better. 5/5 10/10 And very good aesthetics. But is there a power boost where the rockets are or do the rockets replace the power boost?

I figured I would use the rockets instead because that was one of the most used weapons on the map, but I gave it no extra clips so it's not a power weapon. It lets you take out 2 guys jumping the cannons before you have to revert to w/e weapon you have left. Eventually, you will have to jump down and be forced to grab ammo. The Rocket Pad has the best advantage but also very hard to defend at the same time. You can easily be taken out by two well placed grenades.
Wow, this looks really unique. I like the mancannon to the rockets, too. The map looks great and looks to have great playability. Nice job! 8/10.
This map looks great, and it lookks like it plays well too. The only thing that i would suggest is merging the mancannons into the ground to make it smoother, other than that the map looks really good.
Just tried out all gametypes with some friends and it works great for all of them!!! once again great map!
This map is simply amazing, 10/10!!! As soon as the game started I thought I was playing Quake again. I love it and wouldnt change a thing.
I'm really liking the looks of this. Sounds like a lot of fun for a 1v1 or 2v2. Seems a little small for 3v3 unless you like really hectic gameplay. I would also suggest merging the mancannons into the floors below them. It makes the map look a lot better. The forging overall is really good. What's with the turret pointing off to the blue base? I think it would be much more useful pointing towards the center arena. Very nice post BTW. I really look forward to playing this. EDIT* Very sad. Almost every reply above mine was one line.
The mancannons would look better merged, I agree. The map works great for 4-6 peps to, I played a 5 man FFA on it, it was alot of fun. You had a chance to take cover usually or just go out guns blazing. The map is small, but plays like a medium size map due to the seperated pads and everyone always being airborne. The reason I pointed the turret towards the Sniper Pad is so it doesn't becoming a camping spot. You're forced to yank it off, and get in a quick kill or two before you have to drop it and move or get overwhelmed by being a big target.
Crazy mancannons and nice perches, this is definately THE best map for snipers that Ive ever seen. Have you tried Team Snipes on this yet? If not, you should. This looks like an instant classic for Snipers.
