This was my first, actual attempt at creating something in GIMP. It's definitely not as good as it could be, but this was my first try and I would like to hear other people's opinions. I decided not to start out with sigs because I feel too confined when trying to make them. I'd rather have an open canvas to work on. So please, comment. I am open to everything.

This is the version with lighting. I am working on different variations of lighting for this picture. Still, I am open to suggestions.

In the future, I hope to continue working on this and try to get it the best it can be. I'm thinking about adding some sort of wildlife (birds, etc.) to the picture to make it more interesting.

    Well,
    seeing you used brushes,
    its okay.
    First thing made in gimp?
    If so, thats impressive.
    Good job,
you will keep progressing farther and farther,
    till you are an expert.

A few vector brushes. Thats all this really is. You didn't vector those trees, or the grass. I have the set from a while back, thats how i know.

I did not vector the trees. That would be a total ***** to do and I barely started. Like I said, this was my first attempt so I decided to take it slow. I know it doesn't have all the shiny lights and effects that most of you are used to seeing here, but I wanted to hear constructive comments about the picture.
