==CAULDRON== DOWNLOAD CAULDRON SUMMARY Cauldron is a close-range map on Foundry that spreads out approximately across the entire main box of Foundry. The map is symmetrical about the origin, at which players will find an upright hammer, usually essential to winning a game. Players spawn on opposite sides on elevated platforms. From there, stairs lead them towards the center hall, or down a turning pass. Works best with Team Slayer. WEAPONS ON MAP Hammer x1 Mauler x2 Carbine x2 Plasma Grenade x4 Bubble Shield x1 Regenerator x1 MAP OVERVIEW The below map diagram shows the symmetry found while playing on Cauldron. Hammer rests in the center, players to the left and right extremities. SCREENSHOTS BRs assault from high ground. A player taunts the other with the hammer - already sure that the kill is his. Grabbing the regenerator can and will benefit you and your team. It came from above. Just when you think you have a kill, a hammer comes down on your head. The open boxes on the sides of the main hallway are the best friends of injured Spartans. Don't forget about sticking. Bubble+Hammer=Instant Death Cut off entranceways allow your team to flank the others without them knowing. An overhead view of the map. DOWNLOAD CAULDRON
the layout looks cool, I havn't got a chance to play it, but the only thing I suggest you do is add a roof, it would be way to easy to break the maps perimeter.
Agreed. I thought long and hard about adding a roof, although I eventually figured that doing so would barely allow players to jump, and grenade explosions would be... abundant in faces. Thanks for the response!
Yea i like how u gave an outlined drawing of the map. also some of the walls have small spaces between them, just thought i'd point them out. and also like Mr. Lucifer said above me it would be a good idea to add a roof if u still have some money left over. otherwise 5/5. EDIT: As soon as i added my post yr post came up so yea i didn't mean to be repetive
Yeah, I tried to minimize the amount of crack-age as much as I could. Sometimes it's difficult when you line walls up with double boxes and the sort. Glad you liked the map, I appreciate it!
Wow, this looks sweet. A roof would have been a good addition, but it probably would restrict jumping, as you said. The layout looks great, too. Anyway, I quite like it, and the aesthetics provide a rough atmosphere "underground". Great job. 8/10.
looks pretty cool, all i would suggest is that you make the map innescapable. that may seem like an optional thing, but a roof will really add to teh feel of teh map if you do it right. also, for the post you might want to add some pictures that arent zoomed in so far, its kindof hard to grasp the map with the shots you have now.
@mastersync23-- Glad to know that you like the aesthetics and layout... thanks! @sourdauer-- Yeah, I roof would definitely help. The only way to really get out of the map is with the hammer, but because of the way the map was made (fence walls in certain locations), it's quite hard to escape without getting shot down first. Alright, that's a good idea for my next posts. Thanks for the review! PS: Justice, Daft Punk = Win.
if you can't get a roof w/ the budget, try just adding an additional layer of walls, etc to make a "caved-in" effect. the map itself looks pretty original. the layout looks nice, but one thing you should do for improvement: fix the boxes so that you can't see the top of it. the huge silvery thing doesn't looks very pretty, while the bottom of the box is smooth and nifty-looking.
Alright.. I understand what you mean. I could've done more to make the map in general more appealing. Thanks for the post!
