Hey, I've made an Aesthetic map on sandbox called Museum. It's supposed to be a memorial museum of the Human-Covenant war. Any tips or comments are welcome. It's an nice idea, but all you really seem to have done is put different useable objects on platforms. 3/5
ignore the guy above me, this is awesome! a great idea, sir! i love that you included the barricade hog in the collection. Might i suggest that you add sheild doors around some of the vehicles? kinda like glass display boxes. This is pretty neat! EDIT: the guy below me has some great ideas. if you have enough objects to add some of that, i say go for it!
nice idea, but poorly executed. try making the exhibits a little better looking, like make the hornets and banshee flaoting in the air, and maybe have them angled differently (like so when you walk in, a banshee or hornet has its guns angled right at you) and for the warthogs i suggest making one of them have a sideways view so you can see it like a cross-section. weapons i think are ok, but try categorizing them. so maybe put human weapons and then have the splazer, rockets, and missile pod on one table, then have 2 assault rifles and smg's on another table, and a sniper with its own table, a BR and pistol on a table, and grenades on a table by the rockets. then do same sort of thing with covenant weapons. add a roof, and maybe stairs going to a second floor. also you should try creating a halo ring as its own exhibit, and be very large. so you would have an open area in the middle of the museum with half of the ring hanging down, and then the other half going above the second floor. make sure it is free-hanging. also you cuold make some small-scale representations of covenant and human ships, so you oculd have the pillar of autumn hanging down near the ring with some covenant cruisers following it. it could be quite easy if you do it large enough so that you could crouch in it.
oh i almost forgot, put shield doors around the exhibits, and use some dynamic lighting in the halo ring and the skybox exhibits. that would be kick ass if there was like 2 suns behind the halo ring and some blue and red lights in the skybox exhibit.
Pretty cool. You could have put a ceiling on though. It's not really very aesthetically pleasing either. Add some more environment pieces, a couple columns: something along those lines. At least you got a good amount of pics! 3/5
i like it it is good but one thing the firebomb grenade is actually a brute weapon, not human. just happened to know. maybe you could get both weapon sections or vehicle sections and show first the covenant thing then the human equivalent.
Hehe, I've seen a couple of these museum thingies but this is probably the best so far, and the first on sandbox. Unfortunately there are some problems with it, for example you split the sections up into covenant/human but you placed brute stuff in with the covenant stuff, you should split it up into its own category. I think UNSC Warden's idea of placing the covenant vehicle next to its human equivalent is a really great idea. Also I think the idea of recreating small versions of major vehicles like the PoA would be great. You should probably also take their ideas of using the shield doors for glass thingies. Overall it could do with some improvements, but its still pretty good, 4/5.
This would be great for machinima about halos past, but this map is not a good aesthetic I like the ricebucket that was seen on youtube (did you create it? if you did then lots of people still think it should be called the turtle, but oh well for now) 3/5
this is definitely creative. i really like the idea, especially the skybox and how you mounted the weapons, etc., but i think you could have pulled it off a little better. i think you should add a roof and make the walls twice as high for the 'outside' exhibits- a higher wall plus a slanted roof would make it looks awesome, although i'm not sure if you can pull that off. overall, a good start. 3.5/5
i guess it works for your idea but for an asthetic map you really need to make it alot better like maybe an actuall roof or even some funky structures or make your museam look like another one that actually exists
yes this would be great for a machinima. like, some special weapon or vehicle is tolen and it is supposed to do something very bad but no one can figure out how to activate it, etc... i like it! could be better though. all these peoples ideas would be great additions, and you deffinately have the money to add more. good job! 3/5
Um its really a nice idea...but it seems like you just decided to throw everything on platforms... but i like that you added a rice bucket into it. 3/5, but the ricebucket is 100000000/5. =]. Hey its pretty nice to remember the human covenant war on halo 3. I DL because I think its fun.
i like the idea, but could be put together better. for instance, maybe spreading the weapons around and putting a roof on the map.
Extremely original but it could be neater and like others said maybe rearrange some exhibis around. But, really cool and original idea oyu have my DL later when I clear my Xbox (screw only 100 things >.<) And firebombs are Brute weapons not human.
I'm not sure if brute vehicles/weapons should be in the same category as covenant vehicles/weapons. You may want to change that.
ok, for people saying ocvenant and brute vehicles weapons, you are not right. elite vehicles and weapons should be seperate from brute/grunt/jackal/drone weapons
Aren't brutes a third 'mercenary faction' of their own, whereas grunts and jackals are actually part of the covenant.
