Hey Forgehub, this is my (...) third (?) map posted (I think). and I'm very pleased with it, and hopefully, you guys will enjoy it too. NOW FO TEH MAP Alright, so the map is called Sun Temple, and the idea behind it is an ancient temple built to honor the sun. My goal for the map was to make a symmetrical (sans a small few details) that revolved around a center structure where the largest kill-zone would be. As of now, the map is only set up for (team)slayer. no offence, but do you ever download, you know, you don't have to download it and keep, simply look around the map and play a few games to determine if actually like it or not not just make a bias opinion based on a couple pictures and short discription. the map is really fun and plays really well, keep up the good work.
What kind of post is that you gave no reasons, no explanation for your comment. How do you know this map fine if you haven't even played it yet. Don't judge a map until you play it. Now that my rant is over.... Now I still do not have the Mythic Maps so I can't play it so no big review but in the area around the temple there seems to be very little cover I can't really tell from the pictures.
This map/thread is just dull, like there's not too much originality to it. Not to say it is a map one, I is see good merging and layout, but the thing is it looks like I could have dont this in an hour. I'm sure that it plays good, just go for shock and awe, it looks like you have the neatness down, just find the creativity. 3/5
It looks good aesthetically, but it looks a little open, If someone has the sniper and gets to the highest point, they become god. I recommend placing stone bridges on their sides at the corners of the pyramid things made out of the large corners, that'll help with the whole "Sniper God" Thing.
The picture of the center, the wall with the design facing up looks sloppy. Fix that. Now the map itself looks pretty cool, but a little too open in parts, and a little too much cover in others.But overall it looks pretty cool. But according to Kapura, the spawning needs tweaking. That's influenced my decision, so 6/10. Great job on the map though.
First off, thank you guys for all of your feedback, it's greatly appreciated, and i will take it all under consideration. but now i would like to address stickmanmayhem. the highest point on the map is the 2 large blocks supported by the tall blocks in the outposts. my thoughts behind this were that they both dont offer a good view of anyone walking in the center structure, and only good view at the fairly open area. this way, the sniper at the opposing base has a good view at this sniper, so one doesnt have the upper-hand The wall's sloppiness is merely a byproduct of the interlocking. Thank you for the compliment, but what do you mean about the spawning? did you play the map? EDIT: o dam, sorry, i didnt know this was a double post
