Hri is right. Not about him sucking 'cause he is great but learning yourself is hard. Consider Signature School. I signed up. Your current signature the pop-out girl is Ok but this one is not that great. Sorry

Well, it depends on what kind of signatures and images you make. And also about the picture. Use a transparent background insted of pure white. try also to make the text stand out more. It is pretty unreadible.

Pop-outs are opinionated. Sometimes they can be kick-ass, but only if you're experienced enough to pull it off. Otherwise having a regular pop-out does suck. Such as this signature.
But it's probably better if you learn by yourself. That way you can get a style you like. Plus, learning by yourself is much funner.
Yes, you do. I mean, my signatures are so much better than yours.

    *Smug face*

    *Brushes hair back*

As for the signature itself, learn a couple of things. One, flow. Two, blending. Three, style.

Even if you don't like tutorials, they are a great way to learn techniques. You then use those along with other techniques from other tutorials you've done, or looked at, to create your own style and your own techniques...You see, you don't just have to follow the tutorial exactly, I like to experiment with them, maybe find one that I like, and then throw in an extra step from another. Learning by your self is fun, but takes much longer...And is often times abandoned after not getting any where in a month...

Anyway, for the signature. Man, I have to scroll alot now...Arg, pop-out sig, other than that, which has been throughly explained, the text and bg don't fit the render, and the render isn't blended well. Try taking colors from the render to put in the bg, and then clean up the text with a lighter/darker color of one in the bg, and maybe change font and make smaller...

What ice said. I never follow a whole tutorial but rather watch them to get ideas on what i could do.

Nicely said Frag Man. Personally, I think pop out sigs are great. Its thinking outside the box (pun intended). This one isn't too good, but you can improve. Finding stuff out by yourself is better than tuts, but it depends how quickly you get to grips with things.

Learn tutorials. Thats the way to go. WHat you will end up doing is taking multiple techniques, from multiple tutorials, and adding them together to make your own style. It would be very hard to learn by your self, and get good fast. At least check out some tuts in oder to learn all of the things your photo editing software has to offer.
