Redemption

Glad to see you posted this. This is by far the best roller coaster racetrack out there. It would be perfect if not for the inconsistency of the shield doors. Sometimes you make it and sometimes you don't. I could never figure out any reason behind it. Also the checkpoint placement could be better as it is faster to fall off after going through it than it is to actually complete the lap. Not a big deal, but if you fall off on accident, what are you supposed to do? Wait for the other people? The forging on this track is extraordinary. Interlocking where needed, and great use of banking to aid in turns, and that grav lift that pushes you down after the jump works everytime, much to my surprise. My favorite part about this track is that you drive on top of a long set of open boxes and eventually you come back and go through them. When I saw that, I about had a forgasm (whatever that is...). I love this track and hope to see another collaboration from you two. JimP Factor: 95% One helluva track.

Holy moly. lol This is your best creation. I always loved your racing maps but this tops them all. Smooth, Fun, and hard there is not a bit of improvement needed. 5/5

 

looks okay, but from what i can see from your pictures, there is barely any merging. you only did it with a few spots. you should make a v2 with everything merged.
anyways, looks like fun, the layouts a bit confusing but other than that the map looks cool. i like how you go through a tunnel of open boxes after going ontop of them.
you have a dl from me, though i will wait on the rating to see the map for myself; video doesnt want to load.

maps in general, but for race tracks specifically, merging is not needed for every single thing. you could leave a pretty large gap in between spots and as long as its level you still ride smooth.

this race track is absolutely awesome. i love it. largest race track in overall size yet, i do believe. and i don't care for the sparatic nature of the shield doors, its still great

id say that the track is way to skinny. remember the rule of double wide. somebody on an 8 person race would fall of instantly

 

I am also worried about the lack of merging. I hope the gaps between boxes don't cause bumps that will knock you off the track.
Overall though, this is a very impressive map, one of the largest of its kind on Avalanch. I am also worried about shield door
inconsistencies because, as mentioned above, the shield doors don't always work. Great job with the map, Im looking forward to playing!

 

I am usually the first to complain about a track not being double wide. However, this is not a "racetrack", it is a "roller coaster". Therefore it is perfectly acceptable the way it is. I have tried several coasters done by Bam and he is certainly the king of coasters. I qued for DL. I am at work now so I won't be able to try it until tonight. The pics look great and this looks to be one of the most amazing and huge coasters ever forged. I am a little concerned with the whole shield door bounce part. I will have to see how it plays out and if the path has a nice flow. Great pics and post. Can't wait to try it!

 

Wow, this was is a extremely good track, it is VERY long, and every shied door and man canon worked perfect every time. I like how it goes through center, and uses basically the whole map, I never saw that before.

YES, you finally posted it! I saw this map in progress about 5 times, and each time it got better and better! You had to re-do it like 5 times, but it turned about to be a masterpiece and almost a Gold Rush 2! To be honest, I don't like how where you took the pics from because it kinda confused me when I was looking through the post. People are probally going to say NEEDZ MOAR INTERLOX, but if you drive on it, it's actually really smooth. The peice's were placed perfectly and I love the single wide idea to make it a real challenge. The shield door bounce dosen't work if you hit it on the right side, and the single box turn seems to be a real hassle for the nubs who cant drive Overalll, I love what you and daCHEEZburgler have done, and I give you huge gratz, 4.5/5. A video for this should be uploaded ASAP so keep an eye out for that!

 

check it out! it will be a good friday. im glad you kept the same trademark, and again, i really like style and difficulty you bring that normal race maps dont have. i like the name too, although its been used a billion times, but its still real cool. ill download this one and check it out when i can, now i can forget my wife left me for my dog.

Eh, from most of my experience with merging, I've come to realize that it can be really nice and also sometimes unnecessary. With that said, a map does not need to be entirely interlocked to be fun, i mean **** i barely did it on gold rush. Just try the map and i assure you that it will be smooth .

I hope you guys enjoy this map a bunch!--I'll let you know i had a good portion of it sitting on my hard drive for the longest time until bam came along to help, and i must say he did an astounding job. And for all you single wide haters out there, **** YOU! No, just kidding, I think single wide just changes it up some and makes it more of a challenge. Even if you hate it, you should still give it a shot and be open minded to other forms of racing (not that i would call this racing lol). But, i will leave you with this note: My first race map on sandbox will indeed be double wide. Peace out and happy forging!

anyways this seems as tho you could easily fall off. that would get really annoying
but i imagine you experienced racers are too good for that so ill just have to try it.

This is my favorite roller coaster ever! 5/5. It was smooth, the shield doors worked SUPER consistently, and it's just plain awesome when you go full speed around those corners. I can't wait to see what other ingenious ideas you come up with!

 

Wow. This is better than any of your other maps(which were also Wow). I really like the shield bounce part because its long and it works perfectly. I cant wait to see what you two can come up with on Sandbox. 10/10

 

THIS MAP IS INCREDIBLE. I raced on it several times, always awed by the magnificence of the forging and the accuracy of the track. Although I did encounter some difficulties on the shield door section of the map, it is overall a fantastic map that requires "rollercoaster handling abilities."

I look forward to you two creating some insane maps on Sanbox! Great job. 5/5
