Wow. That actually looks damn awesome. I could tell what it was right away (unlike some of the other maps that people map). The zombie breaking through is epic. And sorry if you already said this, but are the doors blocking each room going to be on a timer or manual?
I handed over RivalMass the map last night so he could work on the first room a bit more. He's done good so far. Soon we'll be finishing up the second story floor, the outer walls, and the windows later on today. I like how this is coming, and I think my forging might have gotten better in my two weeks absense off of Live. Also, this can't be remade on Sandbox, it just simply isn't possible. There is a major lack of movable objects on Sandbox, and I just don't see it happening. However, I do have a bunch of other projects in mind already, which I won't talk about yet, but I will say that they're all infection games. So sorry to dissapoint those who wanted a Sandbox version. And on an unrelated note, We'll survive on this arena. almost has 39,000 downloads ()! Thank you Favorites.
I'm pretty sure that Sandbox won't allow anything like this to be made. This takes up specifically (I spelled it right, mum!!!) items, and Sandbox may not have these items required...
Sorry to double post, but are you guys Money Glitching this map? If so, what canvas? I think you guys could make it into a Ultimate Glitch Canvas, and you could ignore the max item limit, and then you guys would be able to have a roof and everything.
We're using the canvas where one of every single object is outside of the map, including a receiver node which allows you to go outside to delete a certain object after one of them has been placed on the actual map. We've already passed the money limit actually, Now we're just worrying about the item limit.
Oh, okay, but if you need to, do it, because I want this to have everything it needs? :squirrel_rubberduck
I can't wait for this (I know I've said that a lot but my want for this gets larger everyday). Those pictures look like it's coming along really well! Congrats on the 39,000 download Debayter!
Wow, you guys have been working on this forever. Wouldn't it suck if you did hit the item limit, and the glitch stopped working?
I hope that this turns out good. Halo really needs some Horde, **** Zombies mode. Hopefully one will come with Halo:ODST. This looks promising so far. Keep it up dude!
I worked a bit more on the map today and have tweaked several things. The first floor is now pretty much finished and 3/4 of the top floor has walls and a floor. Here is the first thing I wanted to show you guys. Master Geomerged the stairs into the ground and I recently geomerged that wall corner in the back of the stairs. It helps make things look a lot cleaner. When you walk up, there are absolutely no bumps. As a bonus the wall pokes up a bit on top which makes the floor look more interesting. Here is a section of the second floor where you buy the grenades. We will have to wall off the left side and add in the balcony in the back later on. I managed to merge the walls with the double boxes to create a pair of parrallel lines which looks nice. Master Debayor had already made the stairs here but once again I tweaked it a bit. The bridges have been geomerged to cover up the rest of the stairs and serve as an intermediate level to make the stairs "spiral" This is a view from above. On the outside you can see another set of stairs which will allow the zombies to move to the upper level directly. (through windows) And I added in the extra bridge in the tunnel on the right and meged it with the wall. This made the wires stick out a bit and has a great look to it. Tomorrow we will meet again to have another forgeing session. Things are moving along well people.
I have a tiny bit of a question. How are the zombies supposed to reach the whole of the second floor?
Just wanted to drop by and catch up on this map. This map is incredibly sweet by the way, I love what you did with the bridges and the stairs. Its all very, very smooth. I call beta testing on this map.
Sorry, I should of worded it better. When you're done, how are you planning to have them move around? Balconies on the second floor? Have ramps up?
I have an issue. I do not know if it has been brought up nor do I care. One of the main reason **** Zombies (and other similar games such as Horde) are fun is that you can continuously kill things. This is possible because you play against A.I. It is fun for the killers, but is it fun for the zombies? That is the reason why many people do not like Infection. You know all those one shot kill zombie games? Sure this will be different, but how much?
