I'm sure we've all seen them in the past week. Tons of new people joining just to show off their "Super original creative map that is the best ever made by anyone ever in the history of the world." Now, I'm also sure we have all noticed the sudden influx of Sandbox maps. Obviously because all these trainees think that sandbox is the god of forging. In fact, in a thread I was in today, some idiot said that no one will ever play the other mythics but Sandbox because it is the only good one. an obvious noob attitude, simply sticking his nose out and saying such a stupid statement like that. I then challenged him to a duel of forging. I told him "Well, if Sandbox is so great, then when I get the Mythics I challenge you to a forge-off. And I bet I will make a better map on orbital than you can on Sandbox." I still havenot gotten a response. I hate all these new crappy maps being posted. In fact, today I saw a supposed "Foundation Remake". It was so innacurate, I swear this kid must've never played Halo 2. The turrets were literally feet apart. you could probably jump from one to the other easily. There were also no rooms, and no middle structure. it was simply a small square with 2 useless turrets on it. This is an obvious example of the doom of Forgehub. When noobs make horrible maps, other noobs say they are great, and then it ends up with a 5/5 even though it sucks giant black ****. I cannot stand for this, it is unreasonable and stupid. What do you guys think of teh sudden rush of noobs here?
I understand where you are coming from, alot of the maps on Sandbox posted on here, aren't spectacular, but werne't you a "noob" at forge once? I know I was. Also, I agree new people are commenting on some of the maps which aren't the best, 'WOW how original' and '5/5' but that is their own opinion, and also the recruits are likely to listen to more respected members of the group, because of their knowledge of forge. So I wouldn't say it is all bad. And I am not black but, do you have a problems with black men having cocks?
no its a joke, its cuz in porn they like to say "giant black cocks" and in the orly/omnom thread there is a picture of a black chicken that is resized to be giant and under it it says "Giant Black ****, not so bad"
I have to differ- The sudden influx of maps on here have not been how it was when it was foundry, where everyone chucked boxes together (including myself ). All the maps i have seen on FH, for Sandbox ; so far Have been great (Y) Im impressed
exactly, this is a perfect example of what im talking about. most done by new people are crappy. a few were outstanding, but most sucked. i dont know how you are a graduate if youve been here for over a year, i guess you just post in off topic?
Nah, i never really post, till recently with Mythic... Silent Member... I've seen one map from a new member or not so profound and it was great ( don't quote me, i can't remember it )
The same thing happened when Foundry came out. Deal with it. On second thought maybe instead of creating a whiny thread you could give some insights as to how these "shitty new mapmakers" could improve. Put your bullshit angst aside and do something positive for the community for a change.
i try. i give advice to the crappy mapmakers, and sometimes they listen. this 1 guy made a map called pyramids, and it looked kinda crappy. i gave him some helpful advice and now it is much better. dont just go around flinging around insults at me because i happen to be kinda pissed about all the 5/5 handouts.
not hardly. i'm taking my time making my new map, which I planned and thought out long before i started creating it. im not just making a map in an hour and posting it saying it is great. if i posted the same crap tthey post i would get flamed.
Look, Forge Hub isn't a site made for the glorification of maps. It's a place where the community helps each other create maps. Of course, those who post maps here just to get a huge ego boost are certainly welcome to continue. However, I think I speak for the majority when I say that I'd rather post a map so people can actually have fun playing on it, not so they remember my name and think, "Hey, this guy is really cool! Let's go suck his **** on FH!" Haha, no. Directed more to OP.
i didnt say i cared who made the maps, i care that the majority of the new ones suck because they are created by horrible forgers
My mistake dude. Of course you make a fair point; but i understand. Sometimes I get annoyed (not with this site; B.net) as there are some maps; no lie which are just boxes chucked everywhere. I found it quite amusing how someone believes they have made a good map; but perhaps they see something in it :/
