a while back, there was a buzz about a huge easter egg on sandtrap... somethin to do with the 2 elephants... they ever find it?
They found out that Sandtrap was a burial site for fallen forerunner soldiers who fought against the Flood. Link
It basically consisted of a couple thousand little kids that thought there was a map under sand trap. The funny thing is, there are multiple holes in sandtrap that you can easily see out and below the map. Kids would perform retarded rituals devised by people like me for kicks.
Lol yeah. Go look up a video of that on YouTube. IT'S A JOKE. GET IT? A joke people like me use on little kids.
lol i remember the big fuss everyone was making just to figure something out and thought they would get recon for it.
NO. THERE IS A CITY UNDERNEATH SANDTRAP. A CITY WITH SECRET VEHICLES. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS BLOW UP ALL THE SAND. /obscure?
There was a buzz but Bungie never actually said there was an Easter egg. I think we can safely assume their comment about Sandtrap: "A deserted wasteland, or is it?" was just a teaser for Sandbox. It did get blown a bit out of proportion and I don't think there ever was an Easter egg on Sandtrap, cosidering most Easter eggs in all 3 Halo games are clear to understand, like a photo of an employees face on Containment's ring or "Puma" written on the warthog in the Beta.
But in all seriousness, it's no different from Halo 2's golden warthog and Halo 1's doorway to hell. They're just excitement.
