Sandbox Solitude v1

    This is my first map. It took me about 12 hours to make.

    The map consists of two bases with 2 main levels. In the middle of the map there is a square 2 level structure with good lines of sight and cover. There are two other structures in the middle of the map that provide cover and keep the map from becoming too open. On the sides of each bases there is a structure, one on each side of a base that has grenade spawns and gives teams spawns outside of their base if their enemies have occupied it. There are BR spawns on the second level of the bases next to the fins, and carbines on the left and right middle stuctures.

    I haven't been able to play with a lot of people on this map because I don't have that many friends with the mythic maps but when I played 1v1s I noticed that it had many good angles and lines of sight. This map is fully equip for MLG TS and MLG CTF, you can play FFAs but the spawns are set up offense defense.

    i think this map was ok for your first map, the gameplay lacked because there werent many areas so predicting spawns was very easy i think if you filled in each corner with an interesiting structure you might have a far better map.

    on a side note if you want to inprove your forging skills you should check out BL00D F1R3s forge school on youtube, if you still haveing troubles you could add me Berkgina or my friend Spazmonkey 92.

    How many people did you play on it with?

    *Edit: The reason it took me so long to make this map is because I had to figure out how to interlock the platforms perfectly so nades don't get stuck. Also I'd like to see your first map. By the way you spelled definitely wrong.

    NO ONE CARES IF THEY SPELL DEFINITELY WRONG! On other notes, the map looks extremely bare, if you spiced it up and made it so you have to move around more to get some good sights on your foes, then it would be a lot better, maybe make the sides go up so you get some high ground and a bigger structure in the middle that you have to go around or over to get some sights, just so there's a little pause before a battle.

    Thanks for the ideas I will take them under consideration after I have play tested it more with full teams.

    Looks cool, I like that name. Reminds me of the fortress of Solitude.

    There isn't enough. Idk what it is, but this map needs something more to it to make it change from an "OK" map to and "excellent" map. Put more cover in the open spaces, or along the walls...somethin, lol.

    I looks really good for your first map! It does seem a
    bit bare, but maybe you could make a V2 and add more.
    I would suggest adding more spawns. It seems you only
    have a few and there at the bases. If you ever need help
    learning how to forge or need tips, just ask. I don't have
    the Mythic maps yet, so all of my helping will revolve mostly
    around Foundry.

    All of the spawn points are right next to each other. Can someone say Spawn Killing?

    Try spacing out the spawns and think of places where they will be really effective. Also, like LORDxSAINT said above, add more cover out in the really open spaces. You could still leave some spaces for long range BR fights though.

    I didn't even look at the spawns! They def need to be spread out, but you need something in the corners so that you can place spawns out there, giving the game a different place to put players, while still protecting them from long range frags, and Br fire.

    decent job. It's a start but I think a v2 would have some potential.
    To improve your map I'd recommend playing around with the elevation and adding some cover in the blank spaces.
    Overall, decent layout, so-so interlocking, 3/5
