Spoiler This sounds dodgy. I doubt it is consistent. Can anyone lese confirm this, my Xbox is being a twat and has decided to not work properly today.
I explained it in the thread the spoiler's from, but I'll toss it here too: Many items from the default layout(and thus most canvases) have their max number set higher than the number on the map, which consumes budget. These include the ones listed in the quote, as well as single walls and the red and blue lights. What the method quoted does is spawn all of the items you've already consumed budget for, and then deleting them which brings the max down too. Everyone ought to go into their favorite canvas and go through the complete list of objects, setting the max back equal to the amount on the map, you can get about $170 more by doing this. And canvas makers should release updated versions. Also, Lights do come through teleporters, the poster above me is wrong.
I heard some news the other day on the MLGpro forums that I didn't think was right. I tried it on my own last night, and I'll be damned if it seems to work. Note that this is Pulsekiller's find, and I encourage you all to try this on your own to see if it indeed works. Delete ALL scenery from the map, leaving only weapons, spawns (including starting spawns), and objectives. You should now run out of budget before you hit the OLN. If you combine it with the above mentioned adjusted runtime max settings, you should be able to make a pretty decent-sized map and not have to worry about the weirdness of the default objects.
If that was true than i wouldnt have had to overload the map to get the default lights where i wanted them.
Maybe its a host or on/offline thing, cause I've definitely got my lights in the sky bubble, and the sky bubble canvases have the lights up there.
That does not seem like it would be a helpfull thing mate. But then I'm not sure I fully understand what you are saying to do. Personally I'll just stick with the budget glitched OLN Canvas. Easier to wrap my head around that.
using 2 Tin Cups multiplies the magnetic effect and will lock a Scorpion or Wraith in place 2 floating Tin Cups will magnetically hold larger vehicles underneath them, but shooting from them is difficult a Golf Ball will climb up a 90˚wall on 2 merged Tin Cups and, just for fun (in Forge mode only), place a Scorpion, Wraith, Prowler or Chopper - flip a Tin Cup upside down and place it across the hood of the vehicle (like a ramp) - the Tin Cup and vehicle will drive across the map
The main reason it would be helpful is because most of the default scenery that are in the canvas maps (stacked off to a side somewhere) have issues with spawning when you want them to and a slight size difference. What I'm getting at is you don't have to use them as we were initially instructed to by Bungie. As long as you keep all of the spawns/objectives and weapons, you won't hit the OLN as previously thought. Make any more sense?
That that is cool. Seems alot of maps could get a scorpion turret or something. I think there might be many WWII maps...
Ah ok, but then I use a budget glitched OLN canvas. And I think keeping all the default items mean you can have more stuff for geometry. I'd have to open both maps and count as I spawn stuff to find out though so lets just go with it working out even.
Grav-lifts do not fall through the Collumn, damaged small, enabling someone to fly upward infinitely.
Spawn points and starting points and any other objective based things don't go towards the object limit
I'm pretty sure I'll test this more but if I am correct it will help forgers alot cuz they won't spawn in the friggin place with the stacked items. And also we'd run into the limit alot faster if that stuff counted
