Oh you can geomerge in the skybubble. But it's more time consuming. You must overload the map, then while the death barrier will still be there, the grid and the physical skybox barrier won't. You can save and quit objects inside of the grid then. Sadly you must do this for every object and it is time consuming.
Anti-fail fails you! It never said deployable float or not, just that scenery version float and shield doors don't. Edit: Wow. I failed. Didn't see that part. Although i swore grav lifts fell through. Sorry.
You can also do the 'teardrop method' to geomerge too, I found that out by accident. Although I really don't know why you'd want to bother.
The Flare is also a piece of equipment that will rest on the grid. This is useful actually, because no matter how you throw it, it will still be useful.
I find it weird that all this equipment will stay on the grid, but the oddball and flags (and possibly the bomb) will fall through and not reset properly. WTF
Obviously you wouldn't do this much, but if you wanted a very low floor, if you want a particular shape, just for visual effect. It's more of an aesthetic thing for the aesthetic forgers.
I am an aesthetic forger. Maps with nothing to look at are boring. I wouldn't geomerge on the skybox. It's pointless.
hmmm... I wonder if you could interlock the red light and blue light together... (note: I will edit this post with structures later) Spoiler My obelisk of doom from my map I'm about to post
yes, it already says red light + blue light = white/pink light. not sure if you were serious or not...
The arch is really cool. I'm glad to see you can merge in Sandbox, my friend said he didn't think that it was possible.
Structurewise should we only post them if they aren't something like a structure of something, like the oblisk of doom, or should it be just something simple that you can use as new geometry? BTW I'm going to get another pic of the arch that is better for you to use, and a vid to go along with it.
The kill ball actually radiates death from its center point. Literally. If you throw a bubble into the kill ball, and the generator comes in contact with the core of the killball, it will die. Further, this explains the interlocking weirdness, and the bubbles ability to block killball death.
All walls will tilt, no matter what you do. This is not noticable until after saving your map. I will need to try it out some more but so far it seems like just rotating the walls will help reduce the effect of the tilting. If you make a floor using walls all facing the same way then you will have all the walls tilting up in the same direction. Go through and rotate every other wall 180 degrees. This should create a small wave pattern in your floor. I'm npt sure if this works 100% of the time but it has been a quick solution for me.
