Ultimate Sandbox Sketchup Template by WhtButterflyLiz Google Sketchup I received permission to post this here, and I know it will benefit a lot of people in this community who like to plan their maps out in advance, or when they can't get to the xbox (like a certain working squid). I've seen quite a few sketchup templates that help us out in Forge, but I've never come across one as detailed as this. All three areas of Sandbox are available to use as you see fit, and all of the major Scenery components (even teleporters and shield doors) are fully textured. It was created by WhtButterflyLiz, who works with sketchup for a living. She's even offered up a few tips on how to use it: Now, this isn't going to be a "how do I use sketchup" tutorial. There are plenty of great tuts available elsewhere. This is meant for people who are already familiar with using sketchup and like to use these templates for concocting ideas. I'll try and help out where I can, but I'm not gonna teach you how to use it. Hope you all enjoy. Foundry Sketchup Template by Fritzster

Perfect Cure This is the perfect cure for those of us who haven't gotten the Mythic Maps yet. I just paid bills this month and won't be able to get them until the 15th. Until then I will be able to plan a few projects. Thanks.
Awesomesauce Liz! I am loving this, and it's giving me the opportunity to check out if my ideas are feasible before going into forge and wasting time. H3ITWP FTW!
Not to take away from AZN's work, but This is WAY MORE detailed than what AZN did earlier. and the texture options are really great. ima DL this one and unfortunately delete the old one :]
Either this chick saved Fritzster a **** load of time, or it just killed all the progress he's made, and he now has a bunch of useless components. Poor guy... Anyways, what's done is done. This is something the community needed to have their hands on as soon as possible, and here it is. Thanks random chick, that I've never heard of, who's apparently super bad-ass with sketchup.
That looks amazing WhtButterflyLiz. The model looks incredible and on top of that it's accurate with the three sandbox levels. Thank you very much; lots of people will appreciate the new sandbox sketch up here.
Didn't mean to step on anyone else's toes... just figured that this was the best way I could give back to the community the present that I got two weeks ago in the form of an early access code. I hope it will be of some good use to y'all. =) Oh - and something I just realized I didn't mention before - the blue rectangles you see in the picture are at the height of the soft ceilings for the ground level and the skybox level, in case you were wondering. =P Glitch, it took a full week to crank this out. Lessee.... about 75 hrs. I was going to put in a couple more items (mancannon, grav lift, fusion coil, UNSC barricade) but I wanted to ship it by Friday (this past Friday is when I first posted it over at b.net in a private group) and figured those kinds of things that weren't unique to sandbox had to be floating out in the Halo sketchup world already. =) Tex - look me up on YouTube. I'm not totally random. Just new around these parts. hehe.
You pretty much owned it! Congrats still (Y) I'm sure everyone that uses Sketchup, will find this extremely useful (Y)
Dude this is extremely laggy, maybe you should take each section and make into it's own file? just a thought, because I can't even move around without freezing up. Great work though! This still is truly amazing.
Yeah, if you don't have the processing power, it'll be a bit laggy on you. Best thing to do is delete/hide stuff you don't want to use (Crypt, Sandbox, Skybubble, background) and save your individual file that way. You can also turn off the textures to give you a little better response. View-->Face Style--> choose whichever look you want that gives you better performance.
thanks squid. How do I delete single parts, because if I right click/move cursor over anything the whole map is highlighted..... I know how to make sketchups but not all that detail, file stouf =[=[=[
You may be actually selecting the cylinder that shows the background. Sketchup is weird in that sometimes it selects stuff that you really don't want, so your best bet is to just right click the cylinder and hide it. That should solve the main problem. You want to save it.
Thanks for the template it is really helpful, but there is no weapons, vehicles, and no kill balls which made me kinda sad
