Foundry Traumatized

    Traumatized is my newest competitive map. It uses a little over half of Foundry and is symmetrical in concept but not totally symmetrical in design. This means the bases have the same general design but due to space issues and lack of items, they are a little different. Both bases house a sniper and a regenerator, and they both feature a lift and several ways in. Both sides have a 2nd story walkway which is good for sniping but provides no cover. There is a mongoose for each base. In the middle of the map there is a Spartan Laser on the built wall and a Ghost on Foundry's wall.

    EDIT* I have updated the spawns and fixed crooked boxes and flickering boxes and this is now v1.1
    PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION

    Please go into forge when you DL this map and delete the two respawn areas at each base. It makes the spawns work.

    wow this is amazing. the layout is like none i've seen before, you used half the map long ways covering both front and back instead of making it all in the back. Your geomerging and interlocking are superb and...wow, just wow. It's ready for download. 5/5

    The only thing that I would say about this map that is a flaw, is the fact that the spartan laser is in the middle, and the ghost is more toward the tunnels, giving that team an advantage. otherwise, the layout is quite nice

    NASTY... man this map is great, i just downloaded it and played it, this will be a hit at the next LAN party for sure. I like the overall layout of the map reminds me of prisoner, the best halo map ever...

    nah the laser and the ghost are exactly across from each other

    Man I have never seen anything like it! I really like your design and use of Foundry, I like how it can support a mongoose, my only concern would be that the bridges in the 4th picture look really steep.

    Other than that the map looks excellant, I can't wait to see maps like these coming from you on Sandbox. 5/5

    It's looking really nice, Ace. I told myself that I wouldn't DL any more Foundry maps to keep room for Sandbox maps, but I'll make an exception for this one. The layout looks really unique, something you don't really see anymore on Foundry. I like how you used the two areas outside of Foundry's main rectangular building area.

    I'll come edit this soon after I've done a forge-through, and again after I have run some customs on it. I hope it plays as good as it looks.

    I swear I saw this map posted earlier, but it could just be my short term memory. The map looks really original. The way you clustered objects makes the map feel very full, in a good way. The lines of sight make it seem like it would focus mainly on close combat. Looks fun for CTF.

    Nice nice... Good layout, nice interlocking/geomerging. Awesome gameplay by the way. Only two things that I can think of to improve are the bridges and how neatly they are interlocked at some positions, and the weapon placement. Other than that this map is almost flawless. 9.3/10

    holy crap yes!.. i like this, it looks very large at fun..i cant wait to play it, i like how you got the mongeese, every map deserves at least one. and every thing on the map looks like beautiful art, perfect map 5/5

    Could you specify which bridges you mean and what you didn't like about the weapon placement? Thanks.

    I agree with you. Mongeese add a whole new dimension to a map. Especially if the mongeese can be effective. Thanks for the positive comment.

    This map is okay but I am kinda wondering about your weapon and equipment placements.

    If you are going to put a weapon holder with the Spartan Laser, I suggest merging the weapon holder to the double box or just remove it. The way you have done it does not look good in aesthetic terms. It's good though that you placed the regen in a place where they might need them the most.

    I am also curious about your vehicles. Putting them on your map is okay, but Traumatized does not seem to be vehicle friendly map.

    As for the layout, it is somewhat basic, but looks very well done.

    I like this map alot The B side towards this hallways is well put together I like how it has paths going all the way to the roof for a nice sniping location. I really like the gravlift on A side, you have the wall tilted right above it so it just doesnt send you straight up you go up and at an angle. The vehicles are questionable: on some games they were really fun to use but in some they were being over used. Maybe taking out the mongooses and leaving the ghost because that was used alot more than the mongooses. I would move the trip mine straight ahead past the plasma pistol and on the box between the two bridges, to make it where you can either go for the trip mine or the lazer, because they're both ideal for vehicle destroying. I played a couple FFA games where somebody or myself would spawn outside. I checked in forge and you did delete all of the outside respawns, maybe try putting more spawn points around the ones you have already that has worked for me.

    The vehicles are somewhat limited so that they aren't the only controlling factor of the game and the mongeese serve a larger purpose in CTF games. But the vehicles aren't limited to the effect that you can't use them anymore.
    There's a grav lift on both bases that are the same
    That's a good idea that I will probably take into account though I think most people would head for the laser of they had a choice between the trip mine and the laser.
    And I don't know why you did but I never had that spawn problem. Were you playing with six or fewer players? That's all the map allows for any FFA game.

    First off obviosly the best crap i have seen from you.
    This is a very nicely designed post.
    The spartan laser spawn is a very nice spot to put it there.
    Bad things in the map is the way it was put together overall.
    But keep forging and you has a good review from me.

    OK this has got to be one of the most unhelpful posts I have ever seen on FH. You told me it was the best crap you've ever seen from me which I want to take as a compliment, but can't because you called my map crap. :( The only advice you gave me was that you thought the way it was put together overall was bad. Thanks *sarcasm*. That really doesn't help me at all. Very useless post in my opinion.
