Sandbox Longest

    Hmm. It seems like the walls are highly abusable, I was able to grenade jump out of the map within about 30 seconds from spawning. This map would require an honor system to play. Otherwise it's a faithful remake. Looking forward to see what everyone comes up with on this map.

    Yes I know the walls are like that. Unfornately, I ran out of parts and money to build the ceiling...

    My suggestion for those of you that think you'll have a problem with your map's budget simply use the skybox above sandbox so people would simply fall and die if they escaped the map.

    As far as this map goes, it's simply astounding. It's a great remake as long as the trust system is in play.

    yeah no this doesnt work to well. Yes no one can truly break your map but now your allowing people to walk on top of it where they are not suppose to be as they please. Just building a wall would work best. I honestly think building this in the crypt and doing what you can with the default floor wouldve worked best and saved you alot of budget.

    Wow, this looks really good. I'm downloading it now. I myself just finished a map on Sandbox, I'm just going to get some pics and post it.

    Pyro, can I make a suggestion for V2 if you make it? Since you had to build the floor to get those little dips in try floating it just below the ceiling of the main level. That way you can use the invisible barrier up there to keep people in.

    The floorplan is pretty accurate, i just walked around in it. It really needs some cleaning up though, some of the placement of objects is just plain horrible.

    Also, you forgot to delete a wall on the part where you put the overshield right next to the camo... (wait.. waht?)

    Overall though this is a pretty accurate remake, once you clean it up it will look fantastic.

    pretty good remake, much more accurate to that one on foundry, but I don't think you should have included the bubble shields on here. If it's meant to be a perfect remake, you really shouldn't include equipment that wouldn't have been there originally. otherwise awesome, and as for the spots where escape is the easiest, do you have enough budget left for a couple of killballs?

    Yea guys I do plan to go back and completely re-do it...but for now this will have to do.


    And as I said, no money or space left at all.

    You had $20 or $30 left when I last looked. My memory could be ****ed though.

    And Titmar, I told you in halo CE you could not walk between the two. It was only in the Halo 2 port that you could.

    I believe your problem is that you deleted the original sandbox objects and that greatly reduced your item limit. Did you have any interlocking at all? It would be nice if you could remake it in the sky bubble so it will be darker. Because I remember the original longest being quite dark. It looks like ur gonna have to remake it from the ground up. Or the sky up. I would like to do a collaboration sometime and maybe I could help you on a remake win interlocking and such. -frozen banshee- hit me up on xbl 3/5 map 5/5 for a good remake.

    Edit: maybe you could add some color filters to make it seem darker like the original longest.

    did you just use grav lifts for stairs? cuz as far as i can see people could easily escape this map. perhaps try either a roof or higher walls. and maybe color fx to make the ligt seem dim and artificial like in the original?

    That's why he should remake it in the sky bubble and use the objects that were in the original map with baron's skybubble canvas to make a bit higher outside walls and just in case someone escapes they will instantly fall to their deaths.

    I DLed and played it, and I found it to be VERY bumpy, and the ramp leading up to the side was not walk-upable. You had to jump in order to get up there. Very accurate but very rushed. 3/5
