Slayernasium 34 After the fall of Reach the UNC initiated top secret military training facilities throught Mombasa. This is installation 34, code named "slayernasium", by the ODST recruits. It is harsh, unpredictable and not for the skeemish. Enter at own peril. The will be no advice, no plan,no help and no mercy this installation is to weed out the posers from the true warriors. Enter at your own risk,if you dare A few recon pictures for you: So get on soldiers
This is really interesting...i guess... it looks like you just threw a bunch of stuff on foundry and called it a map. It needs some work just to let you know. There are tons of objects that shouldn't even be there at all...soccerballs, shields, and barriers... it may help to read forging 101...it actually helps, i would know. PS: and next time, dont make one of your tags sandbox or awesome just hoping that people would see your map 1.5/5... it needs work...no dl from me
This map has that destroyed structures look to it, and I don't know if you went for that or not, but I don't think you did because your story of the map says that it's a new installation. I would recommend that you post a weapons list so that people can get a general idea of how the map will play before they download (from the pictures, I only see a sword, a brute shot, a sniper, and two black weapons on the bridges that I can't make out). Overall, this map needs to be cleaned up a lot, because the entire map is off balance, and it simply looks messy at first glance.
Excuse me but how can you rate it a 1.5/5? Have you played the map yet? Have you even downloaded it? No, so why jump to conclusions. This map doesn't look bad, he has some very interesting looking structures in the map. I am going to give this the benefit of the doubt and give it a whirl. But play it before you say it. Sure this map might not have a lot of interlocking or merging like others, maybe it looks "cluttered" by some standard of comparison but none of these things make it a bad map. I know there is no way you could have accurately rated his map just by looking at the pictures. Thats all I have to say.
the map looks really random. i dont know if you know how to interlock but you should read up on forging 101. i would be happy to help you out some time if you need it. overall i would say that the map is pretty cool to mess around on.
Well with the new struggle against the covenant, the old training facilities were no match for the alien structures these new recruits would encounter. So yes this has a some what thrown together look as to get the young ODST to start thinking differently about how and where they will be fighting. Think outside the box soldier, were going to need it.
Ok maybe i was a little harsh... im tired and finishing writing a paper. ill dl and tell you how it was in twenty minutes... again my bad
Although this map does look thrown together, it seems almost planned out in some areas. Like in picture 9, it looks good, at least for a map that doesn't really use the Forging 101 techniques. Though in some places it looks as if you just pilled stuff up and saw what you got, like the Soccer balls. I've tried numerous times and no matter what you do, you can not get a competitive map with soccer balls. I like the idea of "destroyed" maps, but this one needs a bit of work in my opinion. Keep Forging Though. It looks to have potential.
I must say when I first examined the pictures, I was skeptical. But after a download and a run through I must say that it is very intresting. The gameplay is surprisingly great. One tip, if you are going to not continue with the theme in the maps subsections, it would be wise to cut them off.
OK... i finally played the map and it was actually ok! i still think that if this is going to be in the competitive section it needs a real purpose other than to just mess around with friends on. I probably wouldn't play this 1v1 or 2v2 because there isnt much of a layout. Other than that it works out ok messing around with friends on rockets or snipers...sorry about before...i was a little harsh
Yeah the subsections are a little sparce, but i ran out of cash but I do have the spawn rooms there with the teleports that give the ODST some drop training from the roof. Thanks.
No problem, but you can try some of my other maps(link is in my sig). Those are a little bit more competive style maps with other game types built into them. Anyways this is a good, unpredictable slayer training map, it's good way to have some fun. Also I wanted to take a break from my symmetrical maps for a while. Thanks
I see you put a lot of effort into this map so i strongly advise you go to forging 101 and learn how to geomerge and interlock. It would clean up your map and make it eye catching to most viewers and potential downloaders. Trust me thats where I first learned myself.
the first time me and my friends played this map was a confusing experience. However we got the hang of it and we had a couple epic battles here. Great map. Maybe take out some of the more random things like the soccer balls.
