Working on a new (interesting) project

    No offecne but from the spam i've seen you post on the forums and the silly topics and the likes, you are the n00b.
    On Topic: So the maps delayed? That sux... Well i mainly just hoping this will become a great sucess and if its what to be expected i'll be voting for a feature =]

    so your actually gonna make a recreation of **** zombies two i hope it turns out good. when you post it im definetly going to download it. i hope you can make the second floor really good cause it was kinda hard when i tried forging it.
    Oh i wanted two make a version 2 because the first one got boring fast, but ill let you have a crack at it.

    Some idea's to help you

    WEAPON Box idea: I should of did this in the first place but how about you put a grav lift behind a shield door next to a bunch of weapons behind it. so when poeple try getting the a weapon its by random and the grav lift pushes them back. Make sure it's at a good distance so they barely can get them just barely.

    The stairs idea: to get two the upper level is easy you should put barriers blocking it then a Deployable grav lift spawns at a certain time and they can go up stairs if they wish.

    We already have a working weapon box that has a nice look and feel to it. As far as I know, it is the only one of it's kind and works very well. Thank you for the suggestion though. The project is moving along and I will try to get things moving quickly with Debayter over the weekend. The first floor is completed and now the second floor is being worked on.

    PS. Don't ask how the random box works. This is being kept a secret for as ling as possible, though the people playing in the beta version will have access to it.

    The week in the new house where I don't have internet I guess I'll forge alone locally. I know this needs to be released before the Mythic maps, and it should be...

    I'm going to need to do some geo-merging to make sure that the second floor fits into the map right so it's actually going to take a considerable amount of time before that gets done. The dumpster system isn't working at the moment, because I can't use A or B signs like I was planning to. It's just because of the wierd pushing force given off by the bases of the signs (I never found out why the bottoms of those A and B signs were designed to push away other objects). I found an even better way to make the windows give the humans a better shot at the zombies. However, in some parts of the outside area, the zombies are going to be close in between both walls. None the less, I kept the open field (the one you can snipe into from the second floor via large hole in the building's second story). That should statisfy the sniper's pleasure =). You can also shoot into the cave before the zombies start to break away the wall. Since the pallet will break only once before zombies can go through, I thought it would be fair to do even if it isn't exactly like the COD version. I also am going to need a list of ALL OF THE WEAPONS THAT CAN BE GRABBED FROM THE WALLS (not from the random box) and there locations.

    So far I know these.

    - Kar (first floor, near the help room door in the first room)
    - M1A1 Carbine (Down the wall from the Kar on first floor)
    - Thompson (near the window in the far corner inside the help room)
    - Double-barrel shotgun (on the other side of the window from the Thompson)
    - BAR (across from stairway leading into the help room from the 2nd story)
    - Trench Gun (near the farthest window on the 2nd story)
    - Scoped Kar (in the cabinet on the 2nd story)
    - German Grenades (on the 2nd story in the same room as the staircase coming from the first floor)

    Is that all of them?

    There's a sawed off shottie right next to the top of the stairs in the main room. Mauler?

    Only if it is supposed to be a lot weaker than the normal shotgun.

    It's actually stronger than the regular double barrel but the accuracy is lower.

    Halo only has two kinds of shotgun-type weapons I'm afraid. I guess it'lll just have to be a second Mauler.

    You could put two maulers for the double barrel shotgun :p

    That could work. Possibly. Maybe.

    I personally think you should use maulers for both of those, and then use a shotgun for the trench gun. Those are completely reversed, because the trench gun is weaker than the double barrels, but the reloading thing is different.

    Remember that remakes hardly ever work well if you try to keep them as exact as possible. It's better to incorporate Halo 3 gameplay into the CoD: WaW **** Zombies than try to recreate it.

    But good luck to you. I'd love to test this.

    Oh yeah, good point. The dual-wielded Maulers can make them more powerful. Good idea, I forgot you could dual-wield them. XP

    Hey Master Debayter..how long did you say it would be before you got live back up and running? I would like to send you a friend request..not to help with the map, but it would be easier to reach you online there than here for questions...mostly for a heads up on when the demo/beta/testing will be going on. I would like to participate in one of those things if possible..its all up to you though who plays early on the map of course. Thanks

    Ok, I officially can't forge this weekend. I have to pack up my Xbox tomorrow for the move. Tonight I work on my English project, and the time I do have on Friday I'll continue working on my project. So yeah, it's going to be delayed, but at least at the new house I'll be able to forge it offline.

    How much are you into it now? Can you put like percentages possibly on the front page? Too help people know where you are with it? Update it regularly.

    I'm really looking forward to this. I've never even owned COD WaW, but I'm excited. I know that you guys are focusing on making everything authentic, but you guys havn't posted much on the zombie's point-of-view.

    debayter i hate to point this out but after having forged on sandbox i dont think its gonna be easy to make a **** zombies map, the items on sandbox arent really suited to tht sort of thing like you have a good seeting if you use the crypt and all but it still would be extremely difficult to make a working zombies map on sandbox.

    I think his first mancannon room idea is good. Also, as the game continues on, the zombies get faster. Somewhere from 2 to 3 minutes, 4 custom powerups should spawn outside out of site of humans so the zombies can pick them up. Make the custom powerups make the zombies faster. I like his random box idea. I also think the zombies should have plasma pistols. Make the humans have 2 lifes and 30 second spawns. Wait, can you do that? I don't think you can. Maybe if you just keep the spawns how normal infection is so when humans die, then they become zombies. The wndows are already good.

    for the walls, i think so. there is also a sawed off double shotty on the 2nd floor.

    for random weapon box what do you have? there are molotovs too. dont forget them.
