a game you'll never play and a map you'll get 3 weeks early for 60 more bucks. Yeah, it's worth it... -.-
Yeah, because, seriously, who would want a game where you can control multiple Spartans and Scorpions, use MAC cannons, and run over Grunts with ten Warthogs? Gosh, that sounds AWFUL. Or, better yet, why get the single best map ever created for Forge three weeks earlier than the rest of the population? I mean, during that time you could be creating fantastic creative maps and everyone would see them because most people wouldn't have that map to even Forge on! Now I see your point; I can't believe ANYONE would want to do that. Sorry if that was a bit harsh but, honestly, don't pretend your opinion of Halo Wars and Sandbox is the universal summation of others' preferences.
i personally dont care for halo wars either. most people will simply buy it because it has halo tagged to the name. plus if i want the maps early, i'll probably buy the mythic disk on ebay or if it i on the actual halo wars disk, then ill just buy it from some chump who hates it as much as me, then, after downloading the maps, procede to re-sell it.
What's it called? (I'm away from my xbox atm) Even though the population is around 50, half of those people are probably Bungie Employees, so it's a plus if you have them...
There was a notice that pops up on the main screen. Much like it said when it notified the teaser trailer or telling people to not save their games to their hard drives.
Here 2 days as well, I live in Holland. When they come out, I'm going to start on my two projects: a symmetrical competitive map and a strange casual map. I can't wait!
I've got a question, as this is a thread about Sandbox I think I can better ask it here then start a new topic: So, would it be possible if I'd buy the code from a friend of mine, and use that code to get the maps on the 3rd of March(?) so I don't have to buy them for 800 MS points later / don't have to wait? Or are there any stuff I need to know of? [Sorry if it's a slightly off-topic though]
Oh cool. You're directly on the other side of the world to me (if you live on the West of NZ). Cool huh? Everyone thinks Australia is below England, but it's closer to NZ. So 2 more days for me. It's nearer one day though. It might come tomorrow though, I've had pre-ordered stuff come early before...
the population of the playlist was 220-ish when i was playing... bonus tidbit in case anyone didnt know and i thought this was cool: when SWAT comes up in the playlist, you play in a SWAT map in the crypt instead of the default sandbox layout pretty neat
For those that find it too difficult to get the skull on sandbox, I have made a map with a teleporter that takes you to it's location. But I won't be putting it on my fileshare. So applications will be viewed and accepted or denied at my convenience.
Just to let you know, we can search on Bnet for user maps, and there is a map on there that does the same as yours, except he isn't strict like you as to who can have the map.
Sorry for the skull information thing! Sad face... So much for the Boarding Action remake, the Sky Bubble isn't tall enough! The Matchmaking Playlist it also a ghost town... I don't like playing all alone! So who all has the maps now? Contest winners, Moderators, and people on the Eastern Side of the world right? I am so glad I won them, I didn't have enough money to spare for Halo Wars: LE anyways. I can't wait to see all the Sandbox maps come in! I might just make my first on Orbital, who knows though? Coming this next weekend I do plan spending some time on a Boarding Action Remake, although my post near the top says the opposite. I will be flipping back between Halo 1 and Halo 3 which might take longer. I sure hope that I have enough budget to make it, and that it comes out looking nice and phresh! To bad I can't go all SargeantSarcasm on you guys and answer questions, because it appears that most of them have been answered. However, I have found out something that might interest some of you Mini Game creators, but it is a bad thing sadly... Deathtoll asked me if you could get glitched into boxes like on Avalanche, and I tested it out. The verdict is that no, you cannot glitch yourself into the boxes on Sandbox, because it does exactly what Foundry does and pushes you out. I wonder what makes the Avalanche boxes so special?
Good news everyone the Sandbox Components are almost done for Sketchup... this will be one of my last few posts here at FH... if you would like them send me a msg or something... (note: I'm not making them, I have a friend doing it) It's for our new site... laterz folks... the components should be ready on Friday for map planning for the weekend...
