Sorry I was rushed on time, which was why I was fast forwarding some parts, I tried flying around so you could get a better view of some of the objects. It's just to show all the objects you can make, not a slow detailed walkthrough of each piece.
thats what i was thinking. Also apparently objects can fall through the sky bubble floor and was thinking doing this would prevent that as well. I know this has probably been asked before but how high does the sky bubble go?
i guess im the only one who isnt that hot on the bubble, i mean its neat and all but i think the other two are better.
killball and golfclub aren't all that special. The crypt is okay, but I'd liked building that style of map a lot better on foundry. Honestly, skybubble and the main level are the awesome additions to sandbox. I haven't exactly planned out a good main level map, but the skybox will definitely be used. I can tell you right now, there will be a lot of fail skybubble maps because people will be making them wrong. I can't wait for the novelty to wear off and real maps are made.
come on, it has to be at least more amusing seeing someone run at you with a golf club instead of a grav hammer.
the skybubble is about 9 boxes high i believe, it's in sarge's question thread's first post. You can also even go two boxes higher, but you cant stand on them.
I wish there was a better way to use more than one tier during gameplay other than teleporters. You could use mancannons and gravlifts to go from the crypt to the main level.
The skybubble itself isn't really extremely amazing and definitely won't (should say shouldn't knowing the Forgehub community's obsession with gimmicks) be the grounds for every map, but I do honestly think it will help create map's that aren't possible on any other map. Great maps are going to come out of Sandbox, but they will definitely be few and far in between.
I'm building my current map...that I had previously made in foundry because of glitches....in the skybox. I dislike certain aspects of the bubble...but it'll haveta do, since now I can make my map with a single switch as opposed to four, and with a rather small amount of teleporters as opposed to all of them...its soooooo big.
Reinventing infection. cant say more than that elst it wont be a surprise. Its a map that I started WAAAY back...like...April I think. Just had so many glitches...I've easily spent 100 hrs...probably twice that...on it.
Wow, that sounds very interesting to say the least. I can has secret sneak peak when the maps come out?
I dunno, I'll probably do testing this week once the queenlovers get the map pack, then I'll post it to ze forums.
I have been thinking. I would like to host a sandbox sky bubble contest. i have most aspects planned out but I would like to get some feedback from the community. What would you like to see as rules or guidelines? How do you think I could review maps? How many people would participate if this happened? ~ForgeGod117~
