A paragraph!? I might agree to a sentence, but a paragraph is not only much too long, but an unreliable measuring device. Paragraphs can be one sentence long. It would make the site look alot more professional, but at what cost? Newer members would be so scared to post and we would seem alot more inaccessible. It would be more like an office than a community. And Guitar, I'm not mad at you, but I suggest you stop suggesting what the mods should do before Sharp requests a lock.
Sharp I would like to request a lock here... I'm sorry... obviously I completely agree with your views as does everyone else... which makes this thread quite redundant and somewhat hypocritical... while you are saying, "enough is enough" and "actions speak louder than words", you yourself wrote that in a huge essay-esque post that while it somewhat calls for action (which btw is already being done if you didn't realize) it is mostly talking about the issues, and not as much on what can be done. Plus, I think more than enough of these long, pointless, rerun threads have been made. Rerun as in its the same topic and discussion every damn time. I respect your ideas, since I agree with them, and your message you are attempting to convey, but I will just say this: Enough is enough, can also be said for these long threads that don't have any action, just more talk... Plus, and the staff have stated this repeatedly, what we can't see, but are demanding, is and has been going on for the site already. Let the staff continue their work. I think it has been going well, just let it play out... :lock: please.
While I do believe that was a good summary of my work. I detest those long paragraphs too but I believe that I stated all I needed to state, in as little words as I felt possible. Really I didn't want to sound like an ass. I wanted people to know that I know what im talking about. Really i did issue a call to action, and what normal member have you seen actually addressing spam in the recent days. I wanted all of the more well known members to read this. THis was directed to them.
I didn't read the whole thing due to me being lazy... But, It's clear of what the intent was when this was written. A lot of points you put up is true but sadly a lot of our problems can not be solved quickly or easy. All I can say about this matter is: Spam is the least of our problems. A lot of what I wish I could say about the site can not be discussed within the confines of the public forums nor in the secrecy of the Hub Pub. The amount of problems Forge Hub is going through right now is amazing. If we manage to pull through the problems then we would have pulled off a miracle. The banning of TDF and weather the staff is corrupt or not you can tell there is a problem. Which I am not at will to discuss on the forums. But, remember: Every user on FH needs to open there eyes and think about everything that is going on. Do not let this slip by as just another event within Forge Hub's history. The members of this site is more powerful then the staff if they really think about it. If everyone on FH banded together to stop the spam then we could do it. Everyone is too naive of what is happening. The regular members of the site outweigh the staff 5 to 1. With that much power you can do anything if everyone helped. I bet I'm about to make a huge fool of myself when I post this.
All of the opinions are accepted AZN dude and yours is quite well informed wich i respect. I obviously know a lot more about the issues going on then i lead on. It is not my place to say these things so I do not. I simply had enough of people arguing over this petty situation and the several other things I mentioned, when as you said, there is so much more to worry about. As for the fact that we out way you, i don't believe a banding together is 1) possible due to diversity among members 2) good for the site, as a chain of command, if you will, is good for a stable structure and a mutiny of this would not benefit.
Meh, I'm not to keen on always reading the whole thing. =P I don't particularly think that mods should have specific duties and that they need to be harsh and stuff, but I mean more that they should be out there doing their jobs when available, which I think they already do very well.
YOU LOSE I really hope that you know that the only person on this forum that called the staff corrupt was Frag Man (right?), and now everyone just says it to poke fun at him. You made some good points, but ultimately, nobody cares what you have to say, nobody cares about what anyone who posts on this forum has to say, all you're doing is contributing to the spam.
zgreenz, I think it is rather immature of you to compare his long post and the quality responses with spam. And this is a community. In a community, people DO care what you say. Sure, sometimes it doesn't make a difference, but either way, this is simply a discussion thread and if you feel like it is spam, go elsewhere please. Help someone out in Customer Service or rate someone's map. Getting down on Sharp isn't going to help anyone out.

ZgreenZ, you might not be aware of this, but on Forge Hub, we have rules. I suggested that you leave this thread, number one, for not really contributing to the topic. Also because there is this thing called a Bad Behavior infraction, and mods can come down nastily on you if they want. So I'm not saying you aren't allowed here. We just don't care for your input and what you have said has been detrimental to a serious issue here.

I did make a point, there have been a ton of these "Stop Spam" or "Close Off Topic" threads, and have the mods taken any action? No. All this is doing is contributing to spam. Btw, cracking down on off-topic was a good move by the mods, but they should have done that from the start, and I'm sure they were discussing it before any of these threads were made and sharp, did I say "**** you Shatakai" or "I don't give a **** what you say Shatakai"

Spam=BAD Intelligent page-long opinion's=GOOD If your crusade against spam is so holy that you must extend it as far as you can, then maybe you should start at the root of spam. And it's right here.
