Alot of them do, i use the pinnacle DVC 90 its made for xp, but after much messing, trial, and error it works fine on my vista comp. Any of the new pinnacle cap cards should work for vista as well since they have works with vista sicker on the box.
Sorry but I've seen some people do incredible things with WMM. Well, not incredible, but using a fancy video editing program isn't going to instantly make you better. Everyone has to start somewhere. Just like someone has to learn how to swing a bat before a good bat will benefit him in baseball. Good write up though.
Im sorry i didnt realize that using custom presets in WMM instead of animating your own was incredible. [/sarcasm]
Actually, a good software choice is Roxio. I got it from costco for $80 and it cam with a really good capture card (the name escapes me atm).
i got a capture card at Ocean State Job Lot lol. The quality is super HD or anything but its still pretty decent.
Can anyone in the UK help me track down these Y cables? I can't find them anywhere and my TV doesn't have an output so I can't just reroute the the feed from my tv.
I'mhaving the same problem, but I think Maplins sell them. If not try eBay. Luckily I have an output feed (check any old CRT combi TVs you might have in your house for an output, they usually have one if they have an F-AV), so I'm okay. Just need a Vista cap card...
Surprisingly the Dazzle DVC 100 works with vista... It's a bit of a pain but it does work. I couldn't find any on Maplins. EDIT: I think I found some... -.- I swear I searched that three times already. These ARE what I'm after right? Y Cables Oh, the capture card I got: Dazzle DVC 100
The problem with this pengy is that if your computer doesn't have enough ram, then using Y cables will absolutely murder your video. My friend that works on the rose parade media team suggested to use a distribution amplifier, which can be bought at radioshack for about $50
I have a question about transferring video from Pinnacle Studios to Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0. I capture video in Pinnacle, but when I save the project and then try to open it in Sony Vegas, the video is not there.
Thats because those are project files, look for the .avi/.mpeg files you recorded with pinnacle, and open those up in sony vegas. Remember kids, project files only work with the program they are made for.
Can someone recommend a capture card that will work with vista 64-bit. All the ones I find only work with 32-bit.
Seeing as I dont have experince with a 64bit, i suggest going to VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists and try to find your answer there.
