Can you make a map, where you have one team on the middle level, and one on the skybox, and have the latter shoot at them with Rocket Launchers and Spartan Lasers, or is there a barrier preventing interlevel kills?
If you throw the oddball off of the skybox does it re-set at its spawn point or does it fall to the mid level?
It falls all the way down baby, all the way bounces, comes to rest then let's you watch as you wait for it to reset. So, you're gonna have to lower reset times if you want to play ball like on guardian.
wow this thread is going by really fast. anyways, Can u or someone provide a picture of the Y-Tube/box please it sounds interesting, i i know there is a pic already in the Sandbox thread, but i want to see a better pic of it maybe have a comparison pic to see the size of it.
It is possible to dodge the gauss like shots fired from the towers in monitor mode, you just have to hold boost and move around a lot on your way out into the darkness.
I had if tested out by someone with the maps, it's confirmed. Somewhat of a buzzkill, but it isn't that big of a deal. You could alway chase after it, but then you'd be dead, but at least you tried.

okay so if pallets stay til something touches them then they fall... right? then it would be possible to make a map with imovable objects scattered about and play capture the flag where u have to jump between the falling objects to get to the flag and back... i realize there is limited imovable objects... but how many imovable objects do we have? is this possible? and DIBZ
I think what they mean is like on Foundry, when you spawn a double box, then some movable scenery on top of it and delete the box the movable items will remain in the place until they are touched. However, when they respawn or you start a new game they will fall.
i think you said that the monitors could go in the killball so can you show us what kind of effect this produces for pictures? thanks
i personally think it is a huge deal because this really means that maps in the sky bubble will be unsuccessful for oddball and we will have to stick with guardian in MLG =(

if you overloaded the map, you float stuff right in front of the towers, so they can't fire their lazer without hitting the object, i would use this for, say... lord of the rings gametype, all laser towers but one are blocked, the one that isn't is saurons eye, assault gametype, DIBS
As far as I know, based on the 300+ pages in the sandbox discussion, the grid is like the killball. You can fly around it all you want, but if you touch it you die. And vehichles a splode too.
