If you have four times shields on and you run through the killball, do you instantaneously die? Or maybe if your invincible, could you try that?
Kind of an odd question, but can you take a hornet and fly around the skybubble on the outside edge and see how long it takes to fly the full circumference? Also, can you fly a hornet anywhere below the grid while in custom games, or do you die as soon as you hit it? If you don't die, how much farther down can you go in a hornet without dying?
fixed, please answer My own questions: does the golf ball go farther when using the golf club rather than the grav hammer and the soccer ball? can vehicles/weapons/grav lift be placed on the grid (in the sky bubble)?
can your show a picture of yourself holding the golf-club and swinging it as well? perhaps in a game of golf?
Got another one: Are the death rays fired from the towers instant-hit (like a sentinel beam), or are they like a plasma round? And is it possible to dodge a tower's death beam, or do the towers interpret you movement/home in on you? EDIT: These questions are coming thick and fast. You might want to insorporate the help of another mod who has the maps with this thread. And I've got another question: Are the killballs visible in a custom game/MM, or are they just visible in forge?
Does the killball have the same radius as the hole down to crypt? Can you give a pic of a double box of sandbox (Like the double box of foundry)?
No chance. The hole into the Crypt is about a mongoose's width in width and length. There's a video on IGN of them going into the hole somewhere. Wait a sec... EDIT: There. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqUCm5LvTPM SergeantSarcasm? Can't do this one on my own...
Theoretically would it be possible to block each tower's wrath by placing a tube piece against the tower over the source of the laser and then cap it off with a wall. Or is the source of the laser to 'big' and it needs to be covered with more objects. It might be a pain to do it, but if a canvas could be made that had the towers blocked off then it would be great for vehicle maps like tremors and cat n'mouse. Since I've seen no one ask these questions about the towers can I call an official 'dibs' on making a map like this. Sarge, you measured out the crypt using a territory, could you throw up a comparison pic of foundry? It would help me a lot. If you do manage to get around to blocking off the towers then have fun, I'm sure it will be a blast trying not to die.
Wow hes being swamped by requests.... Anyways, can you pick the golf club up and use it to play golf?
SergeantSarcasm still isn't back, so I'll try and answer Playerhata's Questions: It appears not. You only get 4 grav lifts and the crypt is a long way down. Spoiler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqUCm5LvTPM I assume so, it would be pretty crap if it rolled down a hill towards you! Check the oddball pic Sarcasm posted. It seems to sink into the ground a small amount, but I doubt you can use it to geomerge, as it will either: 1) delete the object you are trying to merge, or 2) will roll off the object you are trying to merge. If you try and brace it, you'll probably discover that the only surface that it has a collision with is the floor. Can someone confirm this, please? There is a teleporter somewhere placed on the map that let's you get up there. It will hold you, but if you step off it, you die instantly. You cannot see the grids outside of forge, but if you were to be standing on the pallet in forge, as soon as you touched the grid you would "fall to your death". The pallet treats the grid like a flat floor.
First I would like to thank you for taking your time to answer our questions. My Questions: What is the difference between a regular Hornet and a Hornet Transport? If possible could you supply a picture of both Hornets for comparison? Thanks!
Seeing as how I have been playing close attention and have seen much live coverage of these maps, I'll attempt to help Sarge out by answering the questions I know the answers too (assuming you don't mind Sarge). It's not so much as an elastic barrier blocking you, its the fact that the distance between the middle and crypt levels is so great, a single mancannon/grav lift would never propel you all the way up. Yes, it is an immovable object and has all the same physic properties as other immovable items in Halo. At the top of the middle level, you can go about 17 boxes high (or some number of the sort) before you hit an elastic barrier preventing you from going any further. Since the objects are immovable, and the Skybox floor is only temporary while in forge, movable objects will fall if "disturbed". You can go to the edge of the spotlights created by the towers. Should you go further and into the darkness, you will begin to get shot at. Lights are immovable objects, but in order to make them float you'll have to save and quit, or stack items up and place the lights ontop. Basically, they behave the same in regard to Halo Physics as other immovable items. As soon as you pass the skybox grid, you will die. If you are uncomfortable with the death barrier being so close, just build your maps up higher by stacking boxes (for example) and using those as your new "ground level". Killballs isntantly kill everything, even if you have invulnerability. Sarge will probably need to futher analyze this one and provide pictures, but there is a wall with a vertical slit in it, wide enough to look through but not go through. They are not instantaneous, but they are extremely fast and accurate, and you have a lot coming your way. To my knowledge, it is impossible to dodge them. No. The width of the hole down to the crypt is roughly the length of a mongoose. This is the double box equivelant: The object in the top left is a double box. As for better, it is all a matter of perspective, but Sandbox features a wide array of interestingly shaped objects. A golf club is simply a reskinned hammer, and behaves exactly like one. So, you can pick up a gravity hammer, and hit a golf ball and get the same effect. As for playing golf, you can't really play golf, clearly. Basically, you can keep hitting the golf ball until you get it into the hole. One thing to take note, however, is that it appears that the ball is draw to the cup. Once it touches the object (in this case, the base of the cup hill) it will then climb up said hill and fall into the cup. I foresee switches using this unique property.
Actually sweeny todd, I'm pretty sure the pallet will still float in a custom game. Anyone else thinking of a new hobo heights? Anyway I'd also like to add my friend and I are almost done with the machinima, and I think you'll like the new look. WE'd have it done but there were technical difficulties.
Pallets will not stay. They are moveable therefore will fall. The grid is only there for immoveable objects.
