I don't know if I can make it too much clearer, but I'll try. I'll post it in your thread as well, in a moment. Basically, what I'd like to know is, can you throw a bubble shield all the way into the killball, or does the killball destroy the bubble's generator. Oh, and I suppose, how big the diameter of the Kill ball is compared to the diameter of the bubble, thats important too for applications sake. Regardless, I'm going to find a way to use this in a map, but knowing all the potential issues will make blueprinting it that much easier.
you could use it if the kill ball wasnt directly on the floor, but was elevated enough so that its still in the path and unavoidable, yet not as wide where you would need to block it
I was thinking more along the lines of having a small, cramped pathway with a slot window next to it.(Slot window here, cramped path here, killball fused with a wall next to it completeing the cramped blocked path) You toss the bubble into the slot, allowing it to block off the kill ball (and subsequently opening the door). I have a more specific example of how I'm going to implement it in a map, but if I give my entire idea away anyone who already has the maps could beat me to the punch
yeh were saying the same thing, just your talkin bout the killball on the side and im talkin bout it on top.
Actually not a kiss ass, but then again, it's that time of month and you have your period again don't you? You just love offending everyone, no ones perfect, and you have to make that more visible
I just realized that there could be a duel of the fates 2, but better because there wouldn't have to be a bullshit fusion coil trap.
Sadly the killball has different properties than the foundry doors and window panels. It seems as though we do not have any objects like that to geo-merge with. The plus side is that we won't need to geomerge as often. We have blocks of all shapes and sizes now, so we don't have to push objects into the ground to achieve a certain shape.
If anyone has any maps, I'll be making a video (probably tomorrow, if not late tonight) of all the map variants out there (giving credit to the authors, of course) so a link would be nice. So far I got Sky Perch, Facing Worlds, and SandBumpers. Anything I'm missing? Thanks.
Thats why he said we won't need to geomerge as often. Of course it'll still be possible to geo merge the old fashioned way but because the sand is uneven, it'll be a bit trickier.
GGGGGRRRRRRRRRr the old fashion way sucks, bad, piss it takes soo much longer, i hate it, seeing as how so many of the best forged maps on foundry feature heave geo-merging, you think bungie would of given us something to use,.
I would assume that they are. You see when a power drainer hits the generator of the bubble it shield, it moves the bubble shield, but since everything dies when it touches the killball(excluding the bubble shield) I don't see how the kill ball could be moved.
So, basically everything Sandbox-related is exhausted now lol I pretty much know all that I need to know. Now, time to play the waiting game.
Yes but the origional way to geomerge is neater, and more reliable than doors for harder geos, which are likley the only we will doon this map.
