I have been thinking about ways to deceive the towers and such. Allow me to introduce my fool proof yet complicated plan for breaking the tower things. You must overload the map and save it that way. Now you can build your map possibly enclosed with small holes where you will have to hurry along by since the rockets are going to be shooting at you. Now if you have the time and patience/ skill to do this then you might be able to produce one epic map.
I'm not, it's an assumption. Like 98% percent of the posts in here. I hope you have a lot of money! I only marry money.
why does everybody want to disable the lasers?? i dont understand. you really can't build your ideas in what's given to you? really?
No. Just death. Zip. Nada. Bye bye. Kind of funny actually. To make my maps more realistic I'm going to make the first floors higher up in the skybox. So you fall a while.
@ Sarge Lasers can't fire through immovable objects, so you can block them. Because, imagine minigames and casual games using the lazers to the maps advantage? Also, I have some ideas (lots) and I could use the sand of Sandbox to my advantage.
So if the lasers are there, then that means there aren't any mines, right? So you don't have to worry about building up above the mines AND around the lasers...right? Though I can really only see the lasers being good for lulz. Of course, there are some people who are probably already thinking of epic maps out there...
They have unlimited range like the spartan laser but look a bit like the sentinel beam. And no, there are no mines.
So far, every single object that isn't static geometry has been removable by overloading the map. The lasers will be no different. Looks to me like they're the same thing as the Snowbound turrets, but equipped with a laser.
they'd probably be in the materials list if that were the case. They act as the boundary of the map, they need to be there. also, i doubt you'd be able to get all the way out there to cover or delete them.
Here ya guys go, this is the basic mechanic of the beam on Sandbox. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ1stsjBs8w "I repeat, we are not modders!" Haha, cracked me up them saying that so much.
