I want to try grifball with golf clubs

 

I don't think it's available as a starting weapon, so you'd have to pick it up in game, which you're unable to do in Grifball....

 

It would have to be a custom game then. Place them on both sides of the map and allow weapon pickup.

 

like maybe a goaly?

 

That would be the only way, but it would make grabbing the ball on the ground very difficult.

And about the golf club grifball. It may not be practical, but it would look Awesome.

 

i think i know a way to do golf grifball. make a barrier in the middle to keep anyone from leaving their side for a minute or 2. then, set man cannons and grav lifts to spawn in the very top of the barrier(double boxes?). once that is done, have some fusion coils drop down and explode on each side of the barrier. this will register the barrier with the man cannons/grav lifts, making them go up. once this is done, every single grav lift and man cannon on the map keeps them up for as little time as possible, allowing a low roof to spawn. however, this roof is high enough so you can not reach the top. this then keeps the barriers out of the way, plus it gets everyone to get golf clubs(if give PP's at start)

Er, fascinating idea for a low roof (provided it actually works), but...what the HECK does this have to do with a golf club and Grifball?

I'm so lost.

 

oh wait. I think i just got it. He is thinking of having a barrier in the middle for like 30 seconds while people get golf clubs and then it raises and a roof spawns to hold them up.

 

So after a bit, no one would be able to pick up clubs any longer (other than those that are dropped)? Sounds interesting, but it neglects the fact that clubs have ammo. =/

At the end of the flythrough (probably about 5 minutes in, not sure), it shows the golf club being wielded, and it behaves remarkably similar to a gravity hammer. Can someone who plays Halo 3 continually tell me how close it is? In other words, is it just a graphical change, or are the actual physics altered as well?

Regardless of how it behaves, if only one club spawned for each team, it wouldn't do much good if it runs out. But, then again, I'm completely forgetting about infinite ammo. Hmm. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if people can pull it off or not. Knowing ForgeHub, that answer is a "very yes."

Ew, weapons that are anything more than melee-damage. Ew. Grifball = not compatible with non-melee weapons.

 

Give them swords only XD. Isnt it obvious?

Then the golf clubs spawn on each side on instant respawn. Thats plenty of incentive to pick them up. It would even work for matchmaking although the clubs might end up spread around the map.
