I am pretty sure there will be. Otherwise where is the motivation to play online? It would be a serious mistake to not include it in such a competitive series as halo.
That is honestly the stupidest statement ever. Problem 1: Motivation to play online. Really? Really? Do you honestly think that everyone plays for rank? There are a lot of people who play for this little thing called fun. May be a rumor but I'd put my money on playing online for fun. Problem 2: Halo isn't as competitive as people think it is. Bungie may have designed a ranking system that sorta' works but I can almost garentee that more people here play Halo for fun then they do for rank or competition. BTW, MLG is watered down competition at best. Also, there are leaderboards and one is about Trueskill and the other is the amount of wins o have.
My dad just reserved Halo wars for me todayy so on march 3rd ill be playing some halo wars and doing some awesome forging.
Haha, I agree. I always wondered about this. For those of you that don't know what he's talking about: The choppers were made from trashed equipment, by a covenant alien. They first appeared in Contact Harvest, because that was the first time they were made. So putting the Choppers earlier in the storyline kills the story arc.
Did anyone hear about the leak? What is the point of getting it? You can't play on live because if you have any achievements form the game you get banned, so you have to wait until it comes out for real. Plus you don't get the Mythic map pack. (<_<)(>_>) I hope I don't get infracted for talking about the leak.
There are leaks all of the time. It'll happen when you mass market anything to anyone. I do not believe you'll be in trouble for playing the game early, as long as you purchased it legally from a store. The store, however will be severely fined for releasing a game before it was intended to be. Urk even stated that there would be no repercussions against players who played the game early. I don't believe the Mythic maps will be available to download until the official release date... I could be mistaken.
Well, I don't know about stores selling it early, but I know that torrent sites have it now. Isn't that illegal, won't that get you banned form xbox live?
Shad0w Viper made a very fun idea... Lock your base so that no troops come out, research and fully upgrade your ODSTs and then build like 30-40 of them and release them all at once... you'll be unstoppable, and it looks ****ing amazing.
I caved and pre-ordered the game today, despite my negative opinion of the demo compared to other RTS games like CnC. Sandbox is just too cool to miss out on, and I'm sure I'll get a few hours of entertainment out of halo wars...
It's even cooler when you do it with 50 Grunt units, they take up the whole screen, It's quite entertaining.
