Nothing's impossible. Some things are designed though. But not everything. Chance > Design.

    Cavemen

I couldn't let this thread die.

A question to all Creation Subscribers: What are your thoughts on cavemen? What do you make of the bones and fossils that have been found showing us in more primitive forms? Can a creationist believe in cavemen or does their existence negate the creationist argument? If man was made in God's image, does God look like this:

Hmm... interesting how this thread treats them as mutually exclusive...

    What about theistic evolution believers?

It's Creation vs Evolution, not Religion vs Science.
Creation and Evolution are concepts, and you can't believe both.

I personally don't see how you can think evolution is false.

    WRONG!!!!

I know everybody thinks that we evolved from cavemen or neanderthals but we did not. They were another branch of bipedalists and they were out-competed by humans, we were different species

Well, tell me what seems more omnipotent,

a being that creates a bunch of toys that never change and then throws them on a planet in the middle of nowhere to kill eachother till he decides to stop it..

    or

A being that creates changing, evolving creatures that adapt to their environment, socially and physically?

I'd like to think the latter. Also, I mean, you have the best of both worlds.

An evolutionist asks "how do you explain the fossil record or cavemen or whatever" You can reply "well, evolution did, actually, happen."

A creationist asks you "how do you explain the universe, how did it begin, I mean it's as the rush song goes 'you can't get something from nothing.'" you can reply, "god... *****."

All the scientifically back god-of-all-gaps you can handle...

God Loves tinker toys... Just like I DO.... ^_^

Evolution to a certain level has to exist... but to a level where something created life by random chance... and has not been able to repeated...

I disagree... as well the chain of evolution seems broken just like carbon dating... I mean Simply put... again decimals lose value and create out liers

Uhm, again, this debate is on Creation vs Evolution.

Creation: The belief that God alone made the universe and everything. He made all beings that inhabit the Earth.

Evolution: All organisms evolved from simple, single-celled organisms at the beginning of the Earth's creation (in this case, the Big Bang or some other scientific theory).

What you are talking about is a theist that uses science to supplement their beliefs. However, creation cannot be believed alongside evolution since they are both very different. Creation is favored by fundamentalists, who take the Bible's word as law. While it is possible for a theist to believe in evolution, a creationist cannot (or rather, doesn't).

I don't see why a deist can't also believe the above theory... XD
but I won't take this any further as it is only "creationists" versus "evolutionists.

    You Can

You can believe that. You can believe in a little of both if you want. But you are starting your own religion. Going to any type of Christian church would seem strange if your foundation of beliefs was so different from theirs. Do you go to church and just quietly disagree with a lot of it?

    I know what you mean...

But, simply I have to say there are some people that don't think evolution exists.

I agree with it but I'm not forming my own church... So grow up.. this isnt' about belief vs Science its the testing of a theory. I feel I say both in some level of understanding and I' tired of being ignored... and since the evolutionist doent' think its possible proves that same fact they are jsut as closed minded as the chruch they disagree with.

    you lot are semi retarded

haruki thinks this is a debate about belief vs. science

and you all keep saying hte same thing as eachother and then ignore eachother and its quite sad

but really only a super strict old fashion church would say no types of evolution exists while truely most true christians will say that there is micro-evolution and that macro-evolution doesnt exist and sciece is wrong about it being macro.

It's called "explaining". Haruki just needed that clarified a bit, so I restated what I said to try and explain it better. That doesn't make us semi-retarded.

And I don't believe anyone has been ignored.
Stating what each side believes is not an argument.

    Your Beliefs

Okay. So what do you say about macro vs. micro evolution? Is that what you subscribe to? Do you believe evolution has happened on a tiny scale but not a large scale. When answering, try to keep it simple, remembering that we are all semi-retarded.
