Where in the interview did it say players go from one area to the next via teleportation? What I meant is that forgers select which area they want to forge in, in the lobby.
it says that the only way to and from the mid level and skybox is teles. it says it has one defualt set up in forge that player can use to traverse between the two
I think it was in the IGN interview where they claimed you could teleport from one plane to the next, so the teleporters must only be available in forge mode, just like the grid. And Lights was correct. Sure people can connect all three tiers together, but who can do it successfully? That'll be a creative challenge waiting for someone.
Is it me or are the objects all kinda small. I mean they've given us hundreds of objects to use though from the pictures it seems their all tiny. Small objects are good for detail, but i need a large supply of big objects to make a large map. I guess i should just wait till i can see for myself. Maby i havernt got the scale right
What the hell are you smoking? Only 16 double walls in foundry. Avalanche doesn't have any. Just a **** load of boxes.
I'm just being nice and casual. There's no need to speculate that I'm being devious or anything. And if I'm corrected on a matter I shouldn't have to be melodramatic about it or have some long drawn out apology. Simply, alright I understand which can be cheerfully wittled down to okay, gotcha.
I doubt that every object is small. I mean, there is like an entire section of objects labeled as either Large, or Huge! I wouldn't worry about it bud, everything's going to be alright! Anybody notice these items? I like the idea of tubes! A race track would look so cool!
lol nah mate it was just I said the same thing a few posts before but it got ignored and then Lights comes in and you're like, "Okay, gotcha." I just thought it was funny and would give you **** about it.
Sandbox version of open boxes except without the annoying ledges that make the openings smaller than the interior. Was trying to find it but the second interview link is not in the first post just burried some where in the middle of this thread.
Think of it in terms of a prism...if you used all of the walls (fence, double, corner) boxes (fence, double, open) and bridges on foundry and made a giant prism (empty on the inside) using that number of objects on an open plane the one using sandbox's resources would be at least twice as large, and thats bound to be an underestimate.
40 wall $5 20 wall, half $5 20 wall, quarter $5 20 wall, corner $5 20 wall, slit $5 20 wall, t $5 40 WALL, DOUBLE $5
My eyes have seriously failed me today, I must be going blind. Edit: My eyes don't fail me, TSB just can't edit correctly, if you look at the OP and I'll just quote it for giggles. I'm going straight to the source next time, darn you TSB!!! Double edit: Upon further review this is Urk's fault, since Urk can't count and has to keep changing the b.net post. Like Urk seriously? U makin me luuk bad!
Nope, i actually also said i'm not very good at forging and would like some help on my map in an earlier post. But my idea is more logical, i mean if your in a crypt why would zombies be coming from the outside of the crypt like a majority of the crypt map ideas have? I mean who's ever heard of a zombie movie where the humans go into a tomb and the zombies come in from outside of the tomb.. that's like an oxymoron. However, if your into mixing things up and making them be out of the normal view then that's fine . but as for me, i'd rather make my map make sense although either way i'm sure would make for great gameplay.
