They were obviously being sarcastic lol. But I wonder how many people will re-make Coagulation. So many people have said something about it. I say **** that, I'm making Blood Gulch bish.
Or... There are people who are so far off-topic, it's simply amazing. People on ForgeHub.com. Come on, folks, let's actually talk about Sandbox; if you don't have anything to add to this thread that deals with Sandbox, go elsewhere. If you're just here to complain about the fact that the walls will be slightly angled, complain away (but prepare to get flamed...). On topic! And, in order to save myself from death by hypocrisy, I'll say something on topic: Has it been confirmed that vehicles cannot pass from the Skybubble to the ground level? In other words, do we know if death is caused by falling, or is it simply a death barrier?
the replier wasn't, but the first guy seems pretty serious yeh it was confirmed that you cannot pass the barrier in vehicle
Death barrier mate. That bit of info has killed a lot of ideas :/ But I'm sure you could just go up to the barrier on the middle level and float everything if you wanted to survive the fall.
How utterly woeful. I mean, of course you can float things up high (can't wait to find out just how high...), but it won't have the same effect, as people who jump off will simply fall to the ground. You're right; many a clever idea must have been destroyed by this tidbit of info. I must do my best to not be disappointed. Bungie has truly exceeded expectations in this thus far; and, with ridiculous amounts of hope, I look forward to the possibility of new information before Halo Wars LE's release. =D
Not to many ideas will be crushed though, well not to many different ones. But if there wasn't a death barrier then there would be no way for a floating map, so pick your battles I guess. Uber Castle Wars 3 or Uber Skyjumper 3
Oh oh oh, I pick Castle Wars 3 And yes, the death barrier offers a lot more pros than cons. So you're map can't have as much vertical space, atleast it actually kills people when they fall off.
Do you guys know if when a vehicle drops from the top floor to the bottom if it isn't destroyed? If it isn't, I wanna remake an old Age of Mythology. Heavy honor rules required, but still fun.
I do agree with you two on the pros of the kill barrier. I suppose I was just hoping it was designed to affect only lone spartans, and not spartans in vehicles. Oh, well. You win loads, you lose a bit. I'm still happy. =)
how do you get to the sky bubble? Can you fly to it in a banshee? Also, is there a death barrier to get to the crypt?
Answer1: There is a teleporter that leads to the Sky Bubble. No, you can not fly to it. A2: There is a chute from the main floor that goes straight down into the Crypt.
If anyone can successfully merge two levels of Sandbox together I'd be pleasantly surprised. I think the only kinds of maps that will be successful will be the ones that stick to one plane, at least from a competitive perspective. Mini games are a bit more open.
Doesn't mean you can go from one level to another in game. You jut have to use teleporters for going to and from the sky box.
indeed. it means if you pick the skybox, theres no way to get to the other 2 areas besides teles lol thats not what he meant. thats very obvious, that they can be linked by teles. he means he'd be surprised if someone can successfully more than one tier of the map in a competitive map. i fear we will see a ton of people try, with little to no success
