What I was saying, is that they could easily argue the credibility of one of those machines. And I've never seen an addiction to a jet-ski before. Besides that guy.

All I'm saying is that cigarettes harm and kill and do nothing for society except rake in piles of cash in disgusting ways. Ya dig?

That is what every single smoker I have ever met says. Unfortunately, smoking can harm OTHERS. It's a gross thing that I really don't want to see or breath in while I'm sitting in a restaurant eating breakfast. ALOT of people die from second hand smoke, and I don't think that's fair at all. Think of children who have two parents that smoke. My cousins do. They always have coughs, reek with smoke, and I know internally are probably suffering from it. I thank god my parents don't smoke.

I bet you that in the future, when I'm an adult, my kids are going to ask me "and that was ACTUALLY legal?" and I'll have to say yes. It's kind of a weird thing when you think about it. A drug that lets off smoke when you do it. So when you go into a room, the place is filled with a sickly haze that will make you cough and unable to breath.

well, i dont know how it is over there, but in australia, its illegal to smoke within 4 metres of any shopping centre entrance, bars, restraunts etc, unless youre in a designated smoking area.

also, yes, smoking next to your kids is just absolutely stupid, please dont think all smokers are just arseholes, if im walking and smoking and im with friends that dont smoke, i will always make sure im down wind and all that.

and another thing, why should the government decide for me what i should and should not put into my body, i know very well the dangers of smoking, but i choose to smoke, thats my prerogative, my body.

Yea, second hand smoke kills, but freedom of expression safeguards smoking. If you have a problem with someone smoking, just ask them to put out the cig, or go outside. Is that too much to ask? A simple request suffices the whole situation.

I'm 15. Asking adults not to smoke really wouldn't work for me, honestly I doubt it would work for anybody unless smoking was prohibited in the area they were smoking. And you can't always just leave if they refuse.

I'm not much older than you are. I once asked a bear of a man to put out his tobacco stick. He did politely.

I would say that smoking is just someone else's business if not for the fact that it effects other people. A lot of people still smoke because they can't quit. But a lot of people are being forced to quit because of such strict laws being put in place; no smoking in public buildings, in cars, or on certain properties. By making it inconvenient to smoke, its gonna force a lot of people to quit. This is a step in the right direction. Smoking effects other people, hence second hand smoke. People who smoke around non-smokers are filling up everyone's lungs with harmful garbage. I've heard numerous stories of people getting cancer from second hand smoke; even pets can be effected by it. So its not just the smoker's business to smoke. its everyone else's health at risk, too.

I remember when my parents use to smoke, they would spend about $18 to $75 a week for cigrates. I wanted them to stop the disease, but they never did until 3 years later.

I think the movie Thank You For Smoking gives a really good view on the issue. I think that its a personal choice that everyone should respect, but at the same time I think smokers should respect that if people can't tolerate it, they should put it out.

If you ask me, I think smoking is just stupid. I can't even think of any good reasons for it. Before you start smoking, even if you are depressed, you should know that smoking will just make it worse.

And there is a healthy alternative to smoking.
    It's called sex.

The problem is with smoking is that it's cheap, and once it gets somebody hooked then people will start spending more and more, until it snowballs. Temptation is hard to ignore, you should try something. Dont get me wrong, I'm against smoking. I'm just saying that the average American isn't very resistant to addictive and temptation-ish stuff.

And there is your problem. The average American is impulsive and gives into trends far too easily. That might be one of the reasons that the economy sucks so bad now. Like this.

    1. People are impulsive and buy houses they can't afford.
    2. Instead of saving money wisely, they spend it on things they don't need.
    3. They owe the bank money and the house forecloses.
    4. Housing market goes to the shitter.

    Now smoking
    1. People are impulsive and start smoking.
    2. Instead of rarely smoking or quitting, they become more addicted.
    3. Much of their money goes to smoking.
    4. Their health goes to the shitter and they don't have enough money to spend on their health.

    See a parallel?

In medicinal terms it is not. Physically, it can be. Of course someone can smoke weed once, then be clean for the rest of their life. But for some people that is not the case. For some, they're excessively addicted to getting high, and other effects of the drug. People will become bankrupt just to get a puff. If that isn't addiction, then please tell me what is.

Nice job pulling statement out of your ass.

    Marijuana is NOT addictive.

It has been said to have the potential to be "habit forming," but that can be applied to almost any pleasant human activity. People love sex and are willing to pay money for it. Does that mean they are addicted? No, they just like the pleasure of it.

Marijuana is NOT physically addicting. It is all psychological, if that.

It says right there at around 3:50 that Marijuana holds the most addicts. I really don't know what you're trying to get across.

Apologies about not watching the whole video. I need for it to load, and to do so I need to wait. In approximately 10 minutes I'll post back if I see the need to.

Agreed with Playerhata. Most marijuana users that I know of use it on a regular basis. While it may not have any addictive ingredients, it is very habitual.

personally, i believe its in the eyes of the beholder.
You should be allowed to smoke, its your decision.
I think its wrong when 13 year old's do it, and little kids.
I also think it is wrong to do it in public areas, producing second hand smoke.

I personally chose to smoke, but i do it with respect for other people.
I keep other peoples health, beside my own, in consideration.

Actually, smoking releases poisons into the atmosphere, so really, you're hurting everybody.
