That would make alot of ship makers very happy, you'd actually have something decent to use for your MAC cannon's instead of shooting out crates, you shoot out what the MAC actually fires, huge balls of energy that kill you instantly.. Maybe they are moveable to a certain extent, kinda like the barriers it takes ALOT to move those.
The kill-ball hasn't been confirmed as an immovable object yet, or at least I haven't heard any news of it being immovable.
Yes but chuck a barrier in a man cannon or a grav lift and if flyes as well as anything else. The only problem with this is you only have 4 kill balls. So each ship would (theoretically) have only 2 shots. Unless the kill balls respawned, which might not work right.
but, in theory, set it to the quickest possible respawn time, and since the ship shots would presumably be in the skybubble, they would land out of the map anyways, and probably quickly respawn
The kill ball. Is. Immovable. Imagine the chaos and lag that would happen if there were random Kill Balls flying around.
Lol, some guy on the b.net forums thinks that the Sky Bubble is the same size as the flat area below. You can obviously tell from several screenshots that the Sky Bubble is indeed bigger.
yeah, i know, i just wanted to get people talkin aboot something interesting again. ,Killball cannon: imagin this dumpster is a giant flaming ball of death:
The kill ball is immovable. Urk posted about 20 pages back saying so, in the same place where he said that tiny and small blocks are movable.
Yes but i'd assume most ship maps now will be made within the skybox, and unless i'm mistaken i'd think the killball would respawn from the 'off the map' sequence that the oddball and flag would have. Therefore, it'd respawn in a very short time. Another thought, what if the MAC cannon control room on a ship map was just a big circular room (not big in height but taller than the kill ball) and was placed on the bottom of the ship and the barrier like kill balls could be moved by lets say a brute shot or hammer, you could have multiple cannons surrounding the diameter of this room and fire the kill ball out of multiple cannons for more directions of fire, thus adding more realism to an air battle Ex: Enemy banshee is attacking your ship, your ships 'captian' up in the observatory calls out where the banshee's headed and you shoot the kill ball into the cannon that it's headed towards (of course youd have to lead your shots and take your time). I think it'd make some amazing gameplay.
You're thinking too much into this. The kill ball will not move, even if you put it on something and then the thing below it got destroyed. It well not move. Stop making ideas about it moving. Yes, but you never know. You could pass through.
im sure half of most posts for a while, when sandbox comes out, will be ships of different sorts in the sky bubble, but I'm gonna make one two, kind of a Star Wars Battlefront II (awsome game) esque ship to ship combat, where the capitol ships have some light guns (turrets) and most of the fighting is smaller ship against ship combat, with one or two docking bays in each flagship , etc.
^two posts up A kill ball is not made of acid, it can sit on anything... Besides, I don't think Bungie would take the time to make a destruction animation, or melting...
Perhaps we would die and live at the same time. But really, I think we would die. You can still get assassinated and run over when you're invicible.
I'm not saying that the killball would melt through an immovable object... The other kid was saying there should be a switch or something, where you can drop a kill ball down from a ship or shoot it with a cannon.
Does anyone know whether moveable objects will rest on the skybubble grid? Or is it only immoveable objects?
I didn't see this. Kinda makes me sad, it'd be pretty awesome if they did move. I know that when i'm in forge mode i've been able to drop double boxes into already spawned mancannons and they'd go flying, maybe you could do the same, or is that only possible in forge? You just crushed my dreams i was having fun making theories too!
what would happen if someone went through a sender node, and at the same time someone else deleted the corresponding receiver node. would they be lost in the teleporter nexus of infinity, for all eternity, or emerged deformed from a teleporter nod of a different channel, weeks later, or.... 0_o on topic, the Killball will now be the far away sun or planet on everybody's floating skybubble maps.
