Well, my trusty informate of the Pancake Theory notified me of a Skybox, a plain, and a pit in Sandbox a long time ago. Turned out he was right about Skybox, so he is probably right about the pit. He said the pit was cover able, and here Hotpokkaminny has shown a clearly covered hole.

Why is there a golf ball and golf club? Are we going to be able to golf like we could play soccer on Heroic/Legendary? I don't see how we could play golf with Halo.

Well, we will be able to swing the clubs while in Monitor mode.

I think it will be fun trying to hit the golf balls into the Tin cups. It's just something to do when you're bored, I guess.

And I'm guessing it will be a large Golf Ball. Maybe the size of the Soccer Ball, but I don't know.

I have two theories about this. My first theory is that while you are in Monitor mode, the block is not there, allowing you to travel down into that hole. When you switch to player mode, the block comes back. I don't know what would happen if you were inside the block and then switched though.

My second theory is that it's just an immovable object that you can delete, but Bungie made it floating there. Or there could be a special size block that fits in there, and if floats automatically (by means of another ledge). So you might be able to make it accessible in game by just deleting it.

Or it could just be a discoloration...

A discoloration with sheer signs of curvature and sharp edges.
The Hole is the lower level. =)

It shows a block that may be removable.

    It does make sense...
Because like the Skybubble, it would only be accessible from the main part of the map via Forge.

Notice the middle block/ hole thing.

However, what would an underground area do for us that we couldn't do in the Sky?

It would be dark and perfect for building an infection map which is what people want.

It would help us with small, enclosed maps for CQB battles, and what-not.

And also for infection like the guy above me said.

It would also forge roughly the same as Foundry if there is a cavern. It would be an enclosed box. Then we have three different environments to forge on: floating maps, BTB maps and more open maps, and a Foundry-like enclosed area.

I hate to be this obvious, but we would have a floor. You wouldn't have to waste items and budget making one. You would also have standard walls on each side that you could use to waste even less items. And some maps just wouldn't feel right if you could see you were way up in the air, a lot of maps need that dark-underground feel.

I doubt it will be the size of Foundry because then what would Foundry be good for?

I'm guessing it's about half the size the Foundry.. maybe 75% the size.

Well that's what I said before, but a bunch of people said that it would be too small and cramped. Maybe it's a circle, that would be epic. I doubt it though. Can't wait for the Bungie Update.
