Well, not really at the moment, but my plans are to become one, yes. I see what you mean by taking in all possibilities, but maybe from Bungie's standpoint, an underground level isn't possible. I'm not trying to say that it isn't, but for all we know it could be.
I still dont understand why they would put and under ground in, it doesnt make sense. itll be like foundry with walls and what not. i mean if we use all three parts of the map, we would most likely reach one of the limits before we can even finish a map that will be half decent. EDIT: What's a Scope, as it was said in this thread like 180 or so pages back that orbital was too small an enviornment to forge in and that most likely we would find a way out and forge out there. and the two other maps relate to sandbox in a way.
Foundry has problems and Bungie knows it. So they are going to add a "fixed Foundry" aka, no bases, flat walls, no crane, no divider wall, less aesthetics.
That's what I was thinking, but more of a smaller version of Foundry. Here's how I see it. Underground: For small CQB maps. Surface: Medium Maps Sky Bubble: Medium to Large maps that you can fall off of.
It would make sense for them to have a grid, its already on the middle and top levels, and if the G-Phoria video was of bottom sandbox then the floor pattern is not straight lines, so most likely yes there will be. Once again if the G-Phoria video is bottom sandbox then it should be a few feet smaller (in diameter) than Guardian.
Everyone's assuming there will be a seemingly never-ending spamming of suck-ass Sandbox varients and ot. that will come after March 3. Are there any Mods, Admins, or higher ups talking about ways to curb the spam? like the minitags? Maybe Sandbox for one, Non-Mythic or Mythic for another? jus suggestin..
The underground is fact. Some people may still hold out, but there's no less than three pieces of evidence 'confirming' it (as well as various screenshots) 1. Map description on Xbox's website: "... the mysteries of Sandbox are hidden high above, deep below, and right before your eyes." Deep below... Well, high above is CLEARLY the skybubble. Deep Below though... that kind of seals it on its own, but there's also more evidence: 2. Bungie's Heatmaps: They have seperate screenshots of the skybubble, and the main map, labeled Top and Middle, respectively. A middle, with a top, would logically be missing the bottom. Combined with 1., its obvious whats going on here. 3. "Boasting a tiered, open-world layout..." I forget the original source for this quote, i believe it to be xbox.com or the ign interview (if anyone remembers this one please point it out) I dont think they would bother calling it tiered if there were only two areas... technically, two layers is tiered, but the speech feels.. fancy, too fancy for just two sections of map. Anyway, here's to hoping for screenshots tommorow, of the basement area. I'm curious as to its ceiling height, size, and other things... I'm hoping this is what we need to remake Foundation, and Hang 'em High.
Per usual, the maps that get the most attention will be the ones that have gone through the tester's guild(they get gameplay reviews bumping their threads more frequently) the ones that just plain look amazing, and the ones by authors with colored names. More maps doesn't mean good ones will get overlooked if people know what they're looking for.
4) In the heat maps one an clearly see a black square resembling an entrance to the underground area. 5) Many screenshots bungie has released show a visible change in a single block around the middle of the map. Possibly this block is removable and will allow entrance that can easily be sealed up. 6) Pancake theory would appear to be right.
while all these things you have discovered about the underground seem very likely, it can still be very untrue. Speculating is pointless, especially when you can wait a week or two and get any info straight from the source.

and the skybox is enough for me, i dont give two craps about the other stuff, i usually make small maps because of foundrys capabilities, the Skybox/bubble will make it easier for me to make good larger maps, which i love so much. But i guess it does make sense seeing that many people still like making small maps so i guess this argument/mini-discussion is over.
And it works on skills very valuable in life, I may even put this thread on my resume. It shows teamwork, problem solving, and theorizing skills.

I wonder what the person who came up with the Pancake Theory will do if there is an Underground... I would go nuts if I called it. I think he should get Recon if he is right lol
