Hey, I haven't been here in a long time so I don't know any of the new rules and all.I'm simply a lurker here. But i was guessing this is the right place to ask for help.

what is a GFX program I can use to create my own graphics from ground up without having to use a picture like photoshop? Like photoshop you have to have a saved image, and you can only edit it, I want to create something purely myself.

    Anyone know? Thanks
btw i have Gimp, but i think it's the same as photoshop so i need another program.

This is probably the worst option ever, but it is an option nonetheless; Microsoft Paint.

For one. Plently of images are created in photoshop from ground up. Such as concept art. They just use a graphics tablet or the line tool. The same applies for Gimp.

If you are looking for something free and different from photoshop then Paint is the only option I know of. If your willing to spend money there is Corel X Painter.

Digipaint is a great program for digital painting and such. Not sure where to find it though.

And you can create virtually anything in photoshop. Whether it be a painting or a vector.

Talk no **** about MS Paint.

A tablet and Paint and a little bit of ingenuity ****s up Photoshop's day any time.

I started out with GIMP, and soon found out my brother has photoshop. I hit it off from then.

not if you have my version. im not sure if its the original version that came with XP, or if its the old 1997 version, like my microsoft word and other applications. Trust me, its not that great to use.

Windows 7 is supposedly going to have a bearable MS Paint application.
