Here on Forgehub, because we care about Forge. I am sure many other Halo Communities are more focused on Orbital and Assembly, especially people on Live.

I'm almost as excited for these two maps as i am for sandbox. lol. finally, a remake of one of my FAVORITE maps, and a new one that looks confusing I can't wait till the mythic map pack comes out!!
Hmm, I would much appreciate to learn more about how these Mythic Skulls will work. Can they be obtained in Forge? Only in Forge? Only on Live? I would like to know how this could possibly work out... And remake? I was unaware that Mythic had any remakes.
Didnt bungie say that above Assembly you can watch scarabs being built? Because that would call for some of the best machinima and getting outside of the map stuff to do. I cannot wait. Although wants I get my hand on Halo Wars LE im gonna go straight to these two maps cause there really isnt any need for me looking at sandbox. Im gonna wait a good amount of time till I make a map on Sandbox.
I'm looking at the heatmaps and trying to guess where the skulls are going to show up. Will they be there? Or there? Or THERE?!?!? Have they released any additional info about the skulls?
Which one of the two maps do you think will be better for forge? I'm thinking orbital, it looks cleaner and more forge-able to me. Opinions?
There used to be a thread dedicated to the Mythic skulls but I think it's on page 2 now. Anyway, I'm pretty interested in these maps because I just don't know much about them. It's really hard to tell anything from the screen shots they gave us.
I'm thinking that Assembly will be much better. Orbital might have a few uses for it (Asym conquest maps?, mini games involving switches, infection maps) but Assembly has the open space above it, and the symmetry will probably provide for some gametypes such as conquest. My guess on the skulls is that they will have to be obtainable in a game of matchmaking. I'm not even sure if this is possible coding-wise but that would definitely make it hard to achieve, especially if it were only in ranked games.
I am going to keep this post as my database for all everything I believe is related to the mythic map pack. Here are my main desires!! 1) Orbital is indeed the first space map in halo 3. So what will this add to forge. For starts imagine being able to go into space and forge large floating maps. Imagine building a map on top of orbitals ship. The available space outside of orbital could be epic. The second thing to do after sandbox's release for me is going to be breaking orbital. 2) I am hoping they will give enough immovable objects so that we can make professional looking walls on orbital. Imagine the possibilities of conquest when you have that many paths to block off and alter. Also you could make a nice race map by doing the same thing. 3) Assembly also looks like it has a ton of space above it. Let's wait and see what kind of immovable goods will be available on assembly. Imagine braking the map and going up to where the scarabs are coming through. Wouldn't it be amazing it your conquest map had the middle territory that the scarab will come and push you off every 1 minute or so. A race map where you have to jump over the scarabs. this is a really desperate idea but imagine the possibilities. 4) I hope the objects on assembly are covenant theme cause imagine the awesomesauce involved in covenant aesthetic sets. A more advanced escarpment would be in line then.

I just made this account to point out that the sandbox description at the bottom says "An excavation site surrounded by deadly foreunner defenses, the mysteries of sandbox are hidden high above, deep below and right before your eyes." Notice deep below? Hmm
I think it one of their interviews it also mentioned that you could watch Lekgolo (Hunters) being put inside the scarabs. Personally I think that would be really cool to watch as well as the scarab building process. As for the maps, I'm really excited to play on orbital, it seems realy fun for assault and mid-sized slayer games from what I've seen so far, also I just really like Space Themed maps.
IDK about anyone else, but i think that orbital will be the End-all infection map. all those winding halls, creepy, ALIEN-esque atmosphere, etc. WIN
Im thinking how it will play with some MLG. Of course the map would have to worked on a bit, but I think its possible.
