I hate to tell you, but that's sorta spam. Anyway, I think that the usual movable objects will be there. It seems to me like Bungie just listed the new/dlc objects like geometry and the filters. they just had to show the vehicles and weapons cause we need to know stuff like that.
The reason I think they are not revealing all (I hope so) is because of this: It says only 1 Red/Blue light each for those cool lighting effects we saw, however.... I see 2 Blue Lights there. Then again, maybe they give us the option to change their color? I am somewhat disturbed by the move able items list. I mean, with Manifest I discovered the joys of making your own casual/mini games and those revolve around the use of move-able items. There is no apparent item that can be used to create doors, besides a pallet. Correct me if I am wrong, there isn't even crates? Also, there are no barriers, so I can't even do something as simple as blow up a barrier wall to allow passage through an area. If that is all there is then I am severely heartbroken. Don't get me wrong, I look forward to Sandbox still, it is amazing, but more than half of my ideas have just been destroyed by the fact that I am unable to do any of even the most simplistic switches for functionality. I don't understand why they can't just throw most of the move-able objects in there? I mean, we already have them in the game (Crates, Dumpsters, etc.) and we can't break the OLN, so what gives? They threw in the next to useless radio antennae even, and that was only useful in the catapult. Meh, as awestruck as I was, the lack of switch objects was a major Killioy.
they didnt want foundry to be entirely useless.... sandbox will not be able to do some minor things, and your good pal Foundry will be there.
The reason I am not doing these ideas in foundry is because of limited items and space, and the same goes for avalanche. Sandbox will not be the be all/end all map, even if it had all the stuff we need. Machinima would still use foundry, and maps that revolve an urban theme. Avalanche will still be used for interesting minigames. EDIT: I was reading the front page. Maybe Something copied it wrong, in regards to the color lights.
Watch. Bungie is going to be like, "Sorry, no movable objects..." Then before the launch they'll say, "..but you have the option to switch the immovable objects to movable!" I wish.. =D
Not everyone is going to make maps on the skybox. There's a second tier known in the air, with a grid that allows you place objects on it. However players will fall through it and die after a short time of falling. I'm hoping we have the option to turn the death barrier off.
Wow, I have missed alot. Would you care to provide me with the original release, for I'd love to read up on that. But that sprouted even hundreds of new maps. I'm glad Bungie has taken the time to be that innovative. But yes, depending on the height of the layer I hope it is determinable to be turned on and off.
Yea but if you really need a bigger death area why not just build up there? Why risk lagging up the game by making a giant flame skinned object? Ever notice how bad flame grenades act online?
Wait: I know everything announced up to this point; but do we place items on a surface in midair within the skybox? that's what i'd assume, seeing as how the maps made bu\y Bungie on Sandbox in midair so far look pretty flat from under.
The blue grid up there is solid for forge objects while in forge. Players and vehicles die/blow up when they go through and bullets and movable* forge objects just fall through. *Assuming for these.
Hopefully you'll be able to geomerge the lights into the ground or the kill ball, they wont know where to step to live, lol have an invisible kill ball, that would be hilarious.
