    Nice Idea

This is a really efficient technique squidhands used, called the Teeth, in his featured map, Radius, and it really works as cover and should be considered, what do u think redeyes? Also for anyone who still doesnt get the point of this topic, Redeyesmaster has compiled a collection of aesthetically appealing ideas from a myriad of maps to show some tried-and-proven ways to make your map not only look, but play better. Amirite?

EDIT: NEW PIC: redeyesmaster i'm disappointed you missed a very obivous merge that is very effective and is extremely pleasing to the eye, it is thesilencebroken's bridge technique used in HIS featured map, Vertebraille, and it should also be considered.

(look at the bottom pic of this shot, silence you make it so hard to do this!!!!!)

Have you updated the list at all? I'm sure some one looking at this thread wouldn't want to filter through all the pages of conversation just to find ideas...

    Supported Bridge

I have found another picture, of an interlocking technique used in a lot of featured maps, the Supported Bridge, which has been used in Slate Creek, Sanghelios, Bayonetwork and Curbstomp to name a few, it makes the bridges architechturally possible

(The picture is from Sanghelios, by Phreakie)

Yes, but first in Curbstomp and Bayonetwork. That technique has been used in just about every new map actually, im kind of sick of seeing it.

In my old map Jambi I had signs to show were the teleporters lead to. Here's A-Sign Tele's...

--and I know you said keep it to one pic. But this was a base I was working on in a map that I was working months ago... which I've now no longer have.

I should have said that it first appeared in Curbstomp and Bayonetwork, but Sanghelios was the first one i found, so i used that one

I forged the whole bird, and am planning to release a map with it as a feature. Also the image is my desktop background, on my laptop.

Ok that pipeline with the wire spools is easily one of the coolest things I have seen in forge in a long time. How has no one thought of that before.

lol. i'm probably a noob for thinking this but the first time i saw the pipeline i thought it was like somehow modded. I had to look a bit harder to see it was just forged objects >< but nonetheless awesome. That is real ingenuity!

You see, the point of forge is to make your own structures and see what interesting things you can come up with. If people didn't have the imagination, many of these that you showcased wouldn't exist.

However, I have to give you credit for compiling this because while ingenuity is important, a guide is always helpful around here and I hope to see more added to this.
