Ok, I've had an idea now for a competitive/mlg map that I know I would never be able to forge, so I decided to draw it out in cad. If anyone is willing to accept or try to considering how many materials it takes up, just post or message and we can work all errors out. Here are a few screens, and yes, the blank spaces are holes to fall down through, mainly just to play ball:
Looks promising, but you might want to try using sketchup with the foundry components to get a better idea of object placement in Foundry. Or anyone else for that matter, whoever ends up adopting it.
Cant do it on foundry, because of the areas i need to play ball, and this map would be really really small on there lol
I think sometimes its a good idea to build a 3D model first, then you're not limited to the shapes and sizes and you get an idea of what you want without limitations. That what I did for the base in BloodStone. I found a 3DS model of a coagulation base and imported it to sketchup then rescaled it so the ramps at the back were about the size of stairs in the Foundry Components file and I copied the base in to the Foundry model to use it as a template. Anyway, your map - it looks pretty small. At the moment it looks like players will spawn and instantly be under fire.
Yeah, I know, thats why i was going to have lines of site cut down by barriers, kinda hard to see the outline of the map with the barriers on though
Allow me to accept this project. Why can't you do this on foundry I would be able to. And I can not start even discussing this until after the weekend and I cannot forge it until my xbox gets back. I still think I could do it though. Here are somke examples of my work.
the reason he cant do it on foundry is that you cannot play the ball. Sure you could throw it in to an unreachable space or death pit but then you would have to wait for the ball to reset which takes much longer. So foundry is pretty much out of the question for this map
couldn't of said it any better myself, and forgegod, you should have a friend request waiting when you get on live from me
