Would that be really annoying? Blue lines in the air while your trying to line things up. I think it would just get in the way. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind it, and it would be a great use to them, but I wouldn't be one.
But then the person using the grid will have the option to remove the grid on the X, Y, & Z axis, separately, DUH...
You could theoretically pause the game and turn the on and off. But we wont really know until they release it if we can even turn them on and off.
Why wouldn't it just be a part of the options in the Forge Interface? Hit X while looking at the grid in your interface, giving you the option to turn off the X, Y, or Z portion of the grid. Tuh-Dah.
Hm. Actually, that's a pretty good idea. I doubt Bungie would do it though. Edit: @Shock: uh, oh yeah. Let's get back to analyzing every pixel of these new pix.
If you look at this picture you'll see three or so monitors as well as the shiny grid. The other pictures don't really show the grid at all, which leads me to deduce that when you go into monitor mode, the grid comes to life in the same way that the teardrops do.
I figured that the grid only showed up in forge mode. We were talking about the possibility of a Z-axis, and turning it on and off.
I was simply trying to give Bungie a hard time, without actually giving Bungie a hard time. In other words, I was kidding around. As awesome as it could be. As Shock said:
So... look at all that sand :/ Just kidding. Have you guys checked out the custom maps the people that tested it built? Some crappy ones compared to what we could do, but they did show some promise.
Well I just read over at IGN about the article that they typed up about the maps. February 9th they said they are going to show a lot more things about sandbox.
Why the elitist attitude? They were just messing around and not actually trying to make everything perfect. Anyway, I'm way excited to see the amazing maps Forge Hub, and the rest of the Bungie Community comes up with. I'll be sure to make my fair share as well. Hopefully, one of my maps will be featured here on Forge Hub! One can dream though.
Hmm. It would be awesome to have an option that allows zero gravity like they do in sapien (the halo custom edition "Forge".) And you could pick up an object, let go of it and it would stay in its place. Also, do you think we will get proximity doors? (Think about the ones on gemini for instance) where you step into them and they open or close???
I said the maps weren't really good, but I know they were messing around. I don't have an elitest attitude, I actually suck at forging. I even said it showed us possible things we could do.
