    Holy crap you guys! Thanks for whoever found those other pictures... WICKED! I see a blue grid! I see it! I see it!

    C'mon you guys, somebody find something they don't want us to find with these pictures. I need a moment or two to see what I can find...

    All I know for sure is that there are filters... each picture seems like a different amount of darkness is added. Also even withought interlocking, the maps seem to look pretty cool!

    I bet you guys anything that these are the pictures Bungie is going to show us tomorrow when Halo Wars is released.

    Notice those towers that seem to light up the map? Perhaps we will have the ability to turn those on/off. But seperatly as to light up specific parts of the map. Notice how these weren't even visible in the first picture they gave us.

    Holy **** you guys! Did you guys notice that they had objects on Sandbox that they had on Ghost Town? See! I knew it! I knew it! I said they would impliment objects from other maps! Also a radio antenna... I'm going to be so excited if they stick in objects from Foundry.


    Here Is A List Of Objects On Sandbox:
    • Radio Antenna - Non DLC
    • Window Panels - Sandy Version
    • Mancannon - Heroic DLC
    • Ramps and Other Objects - Ghost Town
    • All Double Boxes and Walls From Foundry - Sandy Version
    • Reciever/Teleporter/Two Way, Nodes - Non Cold Storage Version
    • Mongoose
    • Warthog
    • Chopper
    • All Weapons and Powerups
    It appears that I have underestimated Bungie... these new pictures are awesome and I think I am going to have to discover how to travel to the future... I cannot wait for this map to be released. Sandbox will truly change Forging for the better and in my opinion, seeing maps on Forgehub that are built on Foundry will be as ancient as seeing maps built on the non DLC maps.

    Sandbox looks huge compared to those two monitor figures you could see in one of the pictures, and looks tons bigger then Foundry. I am glad these pictures were found, and am even more happy that I found them hidden behind all these pages of hype.

    The only thing I have yet to figure out is the placeable sand. If the sand is not placeable, then how does it appear to be spread out in different places in each picture? And how would you build things flat, and perfect if there was all this sand in the way?

    This looks very epic...

    Quite possibly a hint im not sure, maybe its just talking about adding more items to the maps, but why would it say, use the existing ones? o_O

    AS you can see there will be lots of boxes to use so i don't think it will be that hard to block of at least most of Sanbox. I would also like to point out that all those boxes are seen from the bottom. The entrance is also wierd. (maybe melded)

    Naw... I think they just mean that you can add objects to the map... not custom ones. Although having custom items would be cool. I don't see how it would work.

    When they say "Use the existing ones" they mean the ones that are on default Sandbox. Default Sandbox is the one that will go into matchmaking, that will consist of two bases like Default Foundry.

    They assume that you aren't going to have a canvas yet... I guese.

    TBH, I dont think it does, they know that forgers use canvases, there idiots if they dont, why would they want us to use whats already been used, unless they just want us to change like spawn points etc, That would be idiotic tbh...

    I'm reading the interview... oh shi.. that killball sound pretty kickass! I'm going to toss it at whoever disrupts me while I'm making a map... hehehe!

    Yeah TBH... what he said ^^^.

    What if we used this killball to make like a mini game... where the player would have to walk along the field, and if he stepped into a killball he would die? So it would be a race for all players trying to take the right path? Using AZN's idea though where the killballs would spawn in different places everytime.

    Wonder if the killballs are only usable in Forge?

    Guese we will have to check back on the 9th you guys... more pictures! WOOOT!

    I was agreeing with you, but not to make my post not look like spam. My post looks like spam? What about those guys who are posting 3-4 words per post? I'm not spamming. I'm editing my post to give out information to whoever is to lazy to read it. Although I don't know why they wouldn't.

    So, you guys check out that last bit?
    I have so many ideas for a map rushing through my head at once I think I'm going to fall over just thinking about it. Once my 360 loads up the map, I'm just going to sit there staring at it... not knowing what to do.

    This is going to be tough... I don't know what to make first!

    On topic: The killball does sound good, maybe its editable like king of the hill, so you can make it bigger, square circular and maybe even now, sphere. Thats a thought sphere king of the hills :surprise:

    Hopefully the Killball can be 'inverted' so it kills players outside of it inside, then it could be placed over the entire map to keep people in.

    Also, I hope it can be made invisible, but it may get annoying playing a map with a bunch of invisible killballs.

    These pictures are awesome, rargh!

    So those blue and red orbs are indeed "Base Markers", with dynamic lighting no less! OOOOOOOOOOO we can make blue rooms and red rooms, sooooooo coooooooooool!!!

    The killball looks very pretty, which actually has me worried. Makes me think you can only have 1 or 2 of those because they appear so graphic intensive. I'm also confused as to whether they're a placeable object (like a grav lift) or a piece of equipment (you know, like a grav lift), heck maybe it's both (like a...crap can't think of an example)

    I'm thinking the Killball is a fixed size, it appeared to be the same size as a bubble shield, and is the same size in the few pics I've seen it in. Again, with the graphics on it I can't imagine being able to make it any larger without serious graphical issues.

    I'm thinking that grid is either forge only or monitor only (well I guess it would have to be one of the two >.>) probably visible in forge since it's in a screenshot and not a 1st person monitor view.

    Look at the blue glow from that base marker too! It looks quite strong actually. I wonder how many markers you can have! I wonder if it makes a purple light if you have both the markers next to each other as well...

    I think it may be visible like that in forge mode so you don't keep accidentally flying into it while building your map? Of course, you should probably place killballs last if that is true, but maybe they don't affect the monitor?

    Feb 9th, can't wait for the article.

    The budget for this map is going to be HUGE! We're getting $510 in budget extra on top of weapons, vehicles and objects already placed on the map. The vehicles on the map alone cost over $100 in budget. I can't wait to get my hands on this map.

    Wow! Those picyures are truely fantastic!
    800 MS is defintely going Bungie's way.

    I was worried when I initially saw Sandbox, but over the last few days, Bungie have amazed me. Absolute props to them for this. This has all the ingredients for fantastic map making along with the addition of new (and old) objects to use.

    Hoorah!
    Killball too, damn Bungie nailed it on this.

    Going back a bit, I wanted to talk about the bases some more based on the pictures we have. Here's my take on what the basic structure of them look like. The top layer wasn't added for obvious reasons.

    After reading the IGN article talking about new doorways, I'm of the opinion that what is represented as a wall in the sketchup is actually a wall with one of these doorways in it. Thoughts?

    Its a ball, that when walked into, kills you. The name is pretty self explanatory.

    Who would have known that the grid map shown long, long ago really was Sandbox, in its alpha form....like they stated, haha.

    Look in the distance, theres a guy on a platform sniping (obv sniping coz of the dead blue body nearby) These images are taken in theatre I beelive because a cap card would show info on etc, so it wont just be in forge mode you can see it it will be in forge gametype (Moniter not forge mode).

    As I was saying with the sniper, hes pretty far out the sand dunes isnt he? o_O


    EDIT:

    It doesnt look like it is but if that sketchup is from ign then the orange marks going along show us something, the stairs (ramp) are at the bottom and theres a large orange line going down the middle, the block block the orange line from site, then the orange line appears again, maybe there is a room under there??

    well, idk how he got up there, but it is a platform as you can see, and i believe it is actually right above the base, just far up as hell. i saw a pic somewhere with it above the base, idk where it is.

    @Draw The Line-
    So, basically it is what the tripmine should've been, instant kill, no beeping sound to give it away easily, etc.?

    Maybe above the bunker but not the base (he got up there by forging up, notice the monitor..

    I think its a forge object, not a piece of equipment.
