    Ok this looks ****ing outstanding right now.

    The wierd lighting is not explained by the gargantuan search lights surrounding the forgeable area. The grid is likely to only be visible as the monitor, and that orange explosion could be the 'kill ball' that was talked about. The filters look to be less intense than in the Legendary map pack, so they will actually be capable of being used, while still allowing for competative gameplay. The mix of large and small objects is great though, finally we can add a great level of detail to our constructions.

    Hornet, Bunker style windows at the bottom level of the base.

    Also note the 3/4 outside bunkers, so clearly that bunker piece is a 1/4 piece and not a 1/2 as previously assumed.

    I didn't see the windows, good catch there.

    Is anyone but me think this map might be for more robust maps, like making your own BTB map, instead of the delicate maps we make now adays? There are alot of possiblities for this map, but it will bring out a different kind of forging. Not that thats a bad thing, thats actually a very good thing.

    Kill ball = death barrier.
    Must be. If it is then I guess it will work like a respawn area, like how it's possible to change it to a box shape and change the width/length.

    I can see a lot of the neat forge objects from the other maps like the radar towers from Sandtrap and all the scaffolding pieces from Ghost Town.

    I wonder if we'll be able to resize a kill ball similar to territories. Although i guess if we turned it into a long rectangle, it wouldn't be a ball anymore, would it? I also wonder how many we'll be able to place. Even if it's not a good death barrier, it will be good for minigames and death pits. :D

    Boats! you are right. Just wait till somebody decides to make a cruise ship. And what is going to happen with MLG. You figure thay need a version of sandbox to play in the MLG playlist. Maybe they will have soome contest on bungie.net.

    -the strange orange orb
    -small ramps
    -is that a crate in the top right?

    and in the others I noticed
    -antennae (I love these, great for being creative!)


    but the objects look too big... maybe it's meant for larger maps, but still, I don't like that bulky and odd feeling when placing stuff.

    I don't know if they will play MLG on this map, without sombody forging a completely closed in map. To open, and to big. It would be like playing MLG on valhalla lol. Maybe Gamebattles will do somthing with it.

    I was just looking through for cool pictured to decode when I saw this. Radio antennas are cool but that filter thing looks amazing.

    Radio Antennas can be cool for forging on Pre-Dlc maps, so they might be good on this, but the filter just kinda looks like a smoothed out "old timey". I wonder what new filter they will have?

    forgegod117, I don't think that a filer or a kill ball, I think its just a power-up. because you see ahead of it is a small foothold, and from the looks of the map, its most likely an infection map. So maybe its an overshield of something for the zombies.

    There are objects from ghost town in those pictures, perhaps we'll be able to use objects from avalanche

    The problem with that is that the ghost town objects fit in with the theme a lot. If bungie let us use objects from avalanche it might not fit in. Just imagine blue, green, and red boxes on a dessert map. You never know what bungie might do, but i think it is safe to say that no avalanche objects would be included. I am dying to see what aesthetic maps you will be making though Val. This could get interesting.

    I'm dieing to see all the maps everyone will be making. It gonna will pump new different blood into forges veins. I'm thinking alot of minigames, and maps people failed with on pre-dlc maps will pop up like crazy. Its gonna be great XD

    As you can see, they're driving on the dunes. I sure hope that there's a placeable barrier or this will change a lot of what people are planning for this. As for the Kill Ball, it has the be the explosion in the pic.

    Pretty happy about this. When I first saw those bunkers I disappointingly assumed Bungie was giving us a big object with a specific purpose. Really glad to see it's made up of smaller pieces.

    Also liking the aesthetic pieces, that little gray barrier fort thing and the antenna tower are probably the two most useful movable objects in the game besides maybe the crate.

    The closeup of the different scenery objects is a relief. Looks like bungie kept flair to a minimum. The walls are nice and flat, no feet or lines sticking out. The boxes seem to be nice and plain, no rounded edges or anything like that.

    The aesthetic lights to differentiate opposing bases, the kill ball, the grid, Sandbox is really shaping up to be a quality canvas.

    this might just be me, but this map looks like if you took sandtrap, flooded all of it with sand so te only thing uncovered were the tops of the structures, and added a few little slabs. i wish they owuld just make a map that is foundry, but a perfect square, and like 3-4 time the size, with a very high roof.

    Yes we've said this back on like page 2. I wish new people would stop coming in and saying things like "Wow, I that looks like sand" or "Dude this could be cool to forge on". Its not your fault just try to keep up a little better.

    I like this snippet from the second page of the ign interveiw...

    Im looking forward to this, I dont think i will get halo wars just to get this tough. I also noticed there seems to be a lack of movable objects except the vehicles in the default map? There better be all the current foundry ones + Much more ;p

    O yeah and it says about the budjet etc, I reckon that will be around $1000, we can also use the unlimited budget glitch to get more items, theres a guide on this site somewere. O yer and I also noticed the part where it said about use the custom items already, dont be making to many of your own? Custom items???

    EDIT: As for the skull achievements, me reckons its on about oddball skull, and something you do with them, I dont think bungie are stupid enough to make a skull onb the map and you have to search for it :p
