This isn't the Zapruder film...it's a screenshot. Figuring out how the player shot the rockets proves...well, nothing.

For those still willing to argue about it, it's already been determined that the player is alone and that he spawned holding a rocket launcher.

indeed. none of that whole debate was relevant to sandbox itself in the slightest. thats why i said move on.

Community question: What will Bungie do with the minefield? Will they make it harder to "break" in order to barricade the map more effectively? There was plenty of leeway on Sandtrap to drive vehicles in the minefield, ie. "Drive or Die" infection games. What do you think?

I think it will be about the same. It kept you from just camping out there, which was the only point of it. Imagine a spartan just running 2 miles out into the sand and sitting there behind a rock. You can drive though it, and maybe run though it for a little while, but its mainly to keep the campers put down.

Yeah, :p That was the exact point I was trying to make.

    How do you know this?

But that point doesn't have anything to do with Sandbox, just the gametype they used to play the game, and the jump and shots right before the picture they used.

Wrong. If the second rocket is real, then when you consider its size, it shows that the block in front of the character is a lot bigger than previously thought.

eh, it sounds beleiveable. That would help many out when trying to make a Beaver Creek Remake.

It may be possible that you can forge actual pieces of sand into the map. Possibly different sizes. maybe shapes, maybe you can pic the kind of item you want and then pick what shape you want.

    Then doubt this.

Here I highlighted the key areas you should focus on. The walls have been highlighted green. The doublebox a magigger pink and sandbox's ground blue. If you'll notice the pink box goes under the wall. If there were solid space there you would be unable to see that bit.

I colored over the space you wouldn't see if it were solid, but it's not. Hence the 'underbelly' of the structure. I just won 50 intraweb points, lol :)

I sketch alot, so I'm more keen than most at detecting perspectives. When I first saw the pic I was like wtf? How did bungie do that? They just turned Halo 3 into a modern day MC Escher. Then I was like, wait, you can only escher stuff in 2-D and this is a 3-D map, then it hit me...

Oh... so this is why everybody says I got burned by Shishka? But that's not fair! If I burn Shishka, he can ban me... but if he burns me I can't do anything!? Well then I guese I'm just not going to say anything and agree with Shishka.

Yes, you are correct. There are multiple perspectives in a situation like this. But this was just saying that if the map sucked. Although, yes, different people like different maps you have got to tell me that nobody would like a map that sucked. Although different people have different opinions on what sucks and what doesn't suck, I'm sure that nobody would want you guys to release a map that is located in a box that only four people could fit in right?

Everybody hates a map that sucks but they have different opinions on what maps suck. What I meant when I posted
is that if Bungie made a piece of crap map that they spent no time on, that had no forge... no nothin' that everybody would hate it! That's why we have Bungie.net so that we can give our opinions on Halo 3 and other Halo 3 related topics. We don't care if Bungie changes anything, we are just happy that they are. But if a map that sucks costs money. Why should they bother releasing it? We should get a say on things like this. I don't care if if different people have different opinions... like... run a poll on the site where people say what they want in the next map and give it to them! Wouldn't that be better then giving us a mystery DLC where we don't know anything about it?

And what you say about me speaking for every other Halo 3 player.. well.. that's funny. Because all I said was "If Bungie Wants Our Money, They Are Going To Have To Earn It." If that is speaking for every other Halo 3 player then who cares? Every video game player wants quality over quantity right? Then who cares if you release six bad maps when you could release one awesome map?

Yes, my text is orange, and it may blind you. But that does not matter as long as I'm rambling on and on just to get some attention! So Shishka... I agree with you, but not that I'm wrong, because I'm not wrong. I'm not right either... and nobody is right. Except for Spaghetti.... it's always right!

Please, Moderators! For the sake of stuff! Please stop posting crap like "Blah blah blah, starting hype on something that we don't know!" Well this is the Sandbox Discussion thread right? Stop ruining our Discussion!

    BACK ON TO TOPIC!!!
Dang Rusty Eagle... can't believe nobody has spotted that yet! Nice job, and you deserve a big Feature NAO! Although I don't know about that whole rocket jump thing... mainly because you can faintly see a Chopper in the background that seems like if stacked up, would make the height of that pillar. But that whole sand under the base thing is great! Keep it up and you might be able to find out whether or not we can change time! Or possibly if shadows will be added!

By the way, where did ya'll find that first-person view with the rocket launcher?

I can already tell how much you smartasses are going to flame this post. Shut the hell up and get back on topic please! I'm not calling all of you this, I'm calling all of you who quote/make fun of/and flame other posts. It's childish and very anoying!

In response to what you say, I post this picture. I think what I wrote in the picture is pretty self-explanatory, but if you need more, please say so.

Then why can't you see any sand in the supposed front red base entrance? It's also too dark to be apart of sandbox's floor and Sandbox doesn't have dynamic lighting, so there is a block there.

Edit: There is also no jump up, that's the ground floor of sandbox. Things just look skewed from the angle the picture was taken and the corner box next to the double box I had highlighted earlier.
